Okay, for about the past week or so my dog has had the yucky poopies. I mentioned in a thread the other day he has been crapping on the bathroom floor like
every night (He NEVER craps inside the house).
So my mom decided to cut the wet food out of his diet, and stick him with just the dry food. We did that for about two days and he was fine, we weren't sure if it was a stomach virus or the food that was causing him to have the yucky poops all inside the house so yesterday we decided to put him back on the wet food and see what happened.
Well today he had the yucky poops in the house twice, and I just got home to discover yucky poopies all over the bathroom, but this time there was blood in it.
We have given him this brand of wet dog food for years and he's never had a reaction like this to it.
Could it be a bad batch of food? Or possibly some sort of sickness? My mom thinks the blood could be from him straining so much and having yucky crap all the time. Of course I googled it and all these bitches are like "BLOOD IN DOGS POOP, OMGZ THEY WILL DIE!!" So Now I'm freaking out. Any advice I'd appreciate. =)
ETA: The generic "take him to the vet" advice wouldn't work about now seeing as its 1 a.m. on a Friday, and I don't know of any emergency vets around here.
