Simon was on Ellen's talk show today. He said song choice is important, but he thinks Cook will win. Cook has had some amazing performances in the last
few weeks, and Arch has somewhat hit a plateau. Arch doesn't have much of a personality, and wouldn't be as good of an interview past the
"gee" and "gosh." He thinks Arch is very talented, but has been too trained to do all of this. He likes people that have more life
experience, struggled, etc.
As for Arch's dad, he says that Jeff just needs to relax since his son is in the finale. He has seen worse, though, in terms of parents. He's had mothers (no one was named) come up and berate him for making negative comments.
