SURVIVOR: BORNEO
BLACK GRETCHEN
True

During the opening montage of an early episode, a split-second clip was added in that showed the final 9 seated at tribal council. Internet sleuths were ecstatic at the find, but the one problem was that one of the Survivors was not easily identified. The second person seated from the left became known as "Black Gretchen" because people couldn't figure out if it was Gretchen or Gervase. When Gretchen was voted off, the picture was proven true, and it was then obvious that the shadowy figure was Gervase.
GREG'S INFO GOES UP EARLY
True

The CBS webmasters had their first screw-up. The summary of Survivor's episode 8 was up before the show even aired, outing Greg as that night's boot. This started the long tradition of CBS webmasters screwing up anything and everything on the website.
GERVASE X
False

Mark Burnett's first fake spoiler is also easily one of the most infamous. A poster named CAP LOCK found, hidden in the web code of the Survivor site, a picture that had all of the Survivors with an X by their picture except one: Gervase. News spread quickly, and everyone from television news shows to Time Magazine thought they had outfoxed Burnett and discovered the winner. Gervase's boot shocked the country, and the first fake spoiler made history.
FAKE FINAL 4
False

Burnett and company added to the speculation that Gervase won by releasing the doctored fake final 4. This footage from the opening sequence showed Gervase, Colleen, Sean, and Rudy as the only 4 people at a tribal council, prompting many people to believe that they were the final 4. Some people soon discovered that the picture was doctored, though, and that there were shadows of other contestants on the outside of the frame. It wasn't certain whether this was real or not, but when Gervase was voted off, it was deemed fake.
GERVASE SLIPS ON LETTERMAN
True

He didn't win, but he still created more controversy when he was voted out. On Late Night With David Letterman, while being interviewed about the winner of Survivor, Gervase slipped up and referred to the winner as "he". This gave away a male winner, though still most people thought Richard would never pull off the win (Rudy was the crowd favorite).
THE DESCARTES LIST
True
(Description from Hersavvyness, thanks!) The Descartes list had the first 8 boots of Survivor Borneo correct, then fell apart after the merge. The list came from a cameraman who had been present for the first half of filming, but when the tribes merged only half of the camera crews were still needed and this guy wasn't one of them, so he relied on the information of others who'd continued to film. It was the first insider info, and it was directly from someone under contract by CBS, and it was correct to a point.
SURVIVOR: AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK
DEBB'S FRIENDS
True

Debb, the first person voted out of the Outback, had this to say about the friends she made, "I don't really know all of them really well. I had a lot of fun with Jeff, I love Mitchell, Mike and I talk a lot, and probably Maralyn." Besides Kimmi and Kel, she just listed everyone who left before the jury.
EL RANCHO PICTURE
True

A picture surfaced during the jury process of the show that had 6 booted players in a setting that seemed like it could be the jury house in Australia (even minute details like the brand of salt were analyzed and deemed to be authentically Australian). This picture ended up being the real deal, despite its doubters that it was a plant. It gave away the first 6 jurors- Alicia, Jerri, Nick, Elisabeth, Rodger, and Amber.
TIM "THE YOWIE MAN"
Unsure

An Aussie who called himself "Tim the Yowie Man" stated that he had breached security at the Survivor 2 site and posted instructions to find the camps on his website. He also claims to have dropped candy bars for the contestants during production.
DEEP KANGAROO
True

Peter Lance, who wrote a book about Richard Hatch and followed the Stacey Stillman case, revealed that he had a source that he called "deep kangaroo". Lance spoiled all 16 contestants early, and released more information in the "Stingray" book.
MIKE BURNS HANDS PHOTO
True

A picture surfaced before the airing of the show that was analyzed and showed Mike Skupin wearing burn gloves. People speculated what could have happened to him, and in episode 6 we found out that he fell in the fire and was taken out of the game. Despite an episode 5 promo that showed a crocodile in the water while Kucha reacted, many posters realized that this would be the episode where Mike was burned.
TAPEWATCHER PART 1- DOG THAT DIDN'T BARK
True

Tapewatcher watched the first episode of Survivor again after half the season was over to determine the winner. He developed the "Dog that didn't bark theory", stating that Tina was the only Survivor not given prominent facetime or a confessional in the first episode. He assumed that this was done intentionally to hide the winner. He was right.
RODGER FALLS OFF A HORSE
False

Rumors surfaced that a contestant in the Outback had fallen off a horse and broken their collarbone, removing them from the game. The LA Times ran a story about it, a poster said that Elisabeth would scream, "Oh no, not again!", and the New York Post claimed that the victim was a 63 year old man. Many people thought this pointed to 53 year old Rodger, but in the end, none of the contestants fell off a horse.
BOSTON HERALD SPOILER
True... then false

The Boston Herald correctly predicted the boot in their newspaper for many weeks straight, even saying early on that Elisabeth makes it to the final 4. They got Alicia, Jerri, Nick, Amber, and Rodger in a row. But then they predicted Keith to go in episode 13, and Elisabeth went home. They were right that Elisabeth had made it to the final 4. Some people believe the source was a friend or the fiance of Elisabeth, so they told the Herald true information until they knew Elisabeth would be voted out.
KEITH'S HOTEL STAY
False

One Thursday afternoon, it started circulating that Keith Famie was at a hotel in New York City, getting ready for his press interviews the next day because he would be kicked off Survivor that evening. People started calling in droves to ask for Keith Famie, but no one under that name was listed in the hotel. Keith wasn't booted that night, though, and he was not in New York. People claimed to see a bunch of Survivors at different times in New York to try to give substance to their claims that so-and-so would be the next voted out.
BOOT LIST HOAXES
False

Many, many boot lists came out during the second half of the season. Some are legendary, some are easily forgotten. Here are the ones I could dig up:
JESUS, DAN, AND SCOTT- Someone who called himself "Jesus" went on the Dan and Scott radio show online and said that he had the boot list for the rest of Survivor. He got Amber right and then gave the following boot list- Rodger, Colby, Elisabeth... and said that Tina won over Keith in a landslide.
EDINA LESTER- Edina Lester was a poster who pretended to be from Australia. She said that the final 4 were common knowledge to Aussies, especially her husband's friend who was a journalist there. She had the final 4 as Keith, Amber, Jerri, and Tina among other misinformation, and it was disproven when Jerri was voted out in the final 8 (Mrs. Lester had predicted Rodger would go).
SURVIVOR BILLY BOB- SurvivorBillyBob created a website with a slideshow that supposedly had the correct order of ejections from Amber on. Ep. 11: Amber, Ep. 12: Rodger; Ep. 13: Colby; Ep. 14: Elisabeth; Final vote winner: Keith.
SERAPHAEM'S PREDICTIONS- Seraphaem started his tricks here by posting summaries of upcoming episodes with bible passages in them after Amber was voted out. The boot was correct in his next prediction (Rodger), but he had the immunity winner wrong. Seraphaem then admitted that it was a hoax, and that he was also SurvivorBillyBob.
UNCLE CAMERMAN- Perhaps the most beloved and well known fake boot list, a poster claimed that they had an uncle who was a "camerman" (yes, that's the way it was misspelled) for the show. They correctly spoiled Jeff, Alicia, Jerri, and Nick, but then screwed up when they listed Colby as the next to go. It was also funny that Colby was supposed to say "when a texan gets outsmarted, don't mess with him, or texas" as he leaves. It was proven wrong, so it barely mattered that they listed the final 4 as Amber, Rodger, Elisabeth, and Keith.
THE EX-GIRLFRIEND'S REVENGE- A poster claimed to know Amber's brother's ex-girlfriend, and since things went sour in the relationship, she wanted to spill the beans about Survivor. She claimed that the final 5 were all Ogakors, and the boot list at that point went Jerri, Amber, Colby, and Keith beat Tina 4-3.
CBS HAS CRAPPY BENEFITS- A poster with the name CBShascrappybenefits posted that he recently quit working at a post production house that did dailies and such for Survivor 2. He claimed the boot list was Nick, Rodger, Elisabeth, Jerri, Amber, Keith, and Tina beats Colby in the finals. After some flaming, the poster returned the next day to say the final immunity challenge was laying in coffins and that Tina won. After this obvious misinformation, this spoiler was laid to rest.
SURVIVORINSIDER- Survivor_Insider had gotten the boots and immunity winners right for episodes 8-10, so they tried their luck on the rest. Their prediction that Tina would win Immunity and that Colby was booted out was incorrect in episode 10, making the rest of the list a moot point.
AMBER/ELISABETH FINAL 2
False

The Survivor websmasters were at it again, this time with a different hoax. Savvy posters went to the Survivor website and noticed that every contestant had a "final chat" and "final words" page all ready coded into the site except for two contestants, Amber and Elisabeth. Of course, it was all another prank.
ELLIPSIIIS BRAIN TRUST
True
Ellipsiiis Brain Trust became a force during Survivor 2. Their weekly predictions always ended up being correct. The EBT soon gained fame across the Survivor boards for their picks. They also correctly predicted Elisabeth's boot in episode 13, a feat that the Boston Herald and Jesus failed. Soon, it was speculated that the EBT had a source or saw early feeds of the show to get their predictions correct. Also, many people began to believe that the EBT was started by Mark Burnett to let down the guard of the spoilers, and that in the end the EBT would have a false prediction for the finale that shocked everyone. In the end, EBT also correctly predicted the finale and ended up having a perfect track record.
KEITH IS IN EVERY EPISODE
True
FormerLongTimeLurker had a spoiler during the Australia season. A guy living in her college dorm hall that year had a mother who was helping Keith write one of his She passed the information on to Ted Casablanca at E! Online and it was published.
SURVIVOR: AFRICA
REGISTERED DOMAIN NAMES
True

After Lindsey Richter was spoiled as a contestant, people noticed that lindseyrichter.com was a taken domain name. They then noticed that the account registered 15 other names as well, including some nicknames that came to pass (BigTomBuchanan.com, MamaKimJohnson.com, T-birdcooper.com) and some that didn't (LittleBitPowers.com anyone?). The names still work, try them out!
TAPEWATCHER PART 2- FOLLOW THE STAR
True

Tapewatcher was back with a new theory- Mark Burnett's company edited the first episode as a bible story, where Jewish soccer player Ethan Zohn symbolized Jesus. It was far fetched, but his theory once again correctly pointed to the winner. He did end up being a little too specific though. He pointed to Kelly as a force that helps Ethan win, which obviously never happened.
LINDSEY HOSPITALIZED
True, but inconsequential

Rumors surfaced before Survivor 3 began that Lindsey had been hospitalized during the game. Posters assumed that this would result in a Mike-like departure from the game, but in the end, Lindsey made it to the sixth tribal council to be voted off. After the game, it became known that other survivors were also hospitalized during the game, including Lex.
SATELLITE IMAGE OF SHABA RESERVE
True

Dan Bollinger of SurvivorMaps released a satellite image of the Shaba reserve taken by the Ikonos satellite that showed that the Survivors were indeed in Africa.
DIANE'S FRIENDS
True

In Diane's final chat, she responded to a question about Ethan by listing who she was friends with after the show: "I thought Ethan was a sweetie, and we actually keep in touch by email. I keep in touch with most of the other tribe by e-mail and by phone. And some on the other tribe too, like Carl and Theresa, Linda, Lindsey and Silas. I guess I keep in touch with pretty much most of them. Even Clarence: we e-mail and talk on the phone also." She let out boots 3-7, but also had Teresa in there.
CARL'S LIE
False

Keeping with Diane's friends, at the merge, many posters thought Teresa would be the one voted out. This was due to Carl talking about sharing sleeping quarters with Teresa after they were voted out. It ended up being a lie, maybe coaxed by Burnett and company? When Teresa won immunity in that episode, many people were shocked.
LEX WINS IMMUNITY
True

After the merge, Paratrooper found this image of Lex's torch with the immunity necklace on it. Posters speculated that Lex must win immunity in the future, and Lex did go on to win more immunity challenges than anyone else.
SURVIVOR: MARQUESAS
THE FAKE CONTESTANTS
False
Early on in the season, many fake spoilers came out about who was in the cast. A model named Damon Vuckelich, Tarry Cory, Jennifer Azzi and others all had pictures all over the internet, and people thought they were contestant on Survivor: Marquesas.
PETER GETS THE FIRST BOOT
True

Pictures surfaced from ET that showed Maraamu heading to the fafaru gross foods challenge. One person was hidden, though, and posters couldn't figure out if it was Peter or Gina. Eventually, a moving gif correctly identified the person as Gina, making Peter the first boot.
SARAH COMES BACK STARVING
False

An article claimed that Sarah Jones came back starving and covered in mosquito bites, assuming she lasted a long time. But no, she was gone 4th.
HUNTER'S ON A PLANE
True
Ladyguenivere at surviiivor.com posted right before Hunter's boot, "I heard, just now, on the Infamous Jeff & Jer Showgram that Hunter Ellis - resident of San Diego County (UTC area), was spoted on a non-stop flight to NYC via American Airlines". She was right, Hunter was headed to New York to be on the Early Show the day after the episode aired where he was voted off.
WANDA REPORTS HUNTER-GINA ROMANCE
True
Wanda of E! Online reported that Hunter and Gina hooked up in Loser Lodge, which made ir obvious that Gina would not make the merge. She was right about Gina losing, although both Hunter and Gina have denied a romance since the show ended.
GABE SPOILERS
Mostly true
Gabriel Cade was the target of many spoilers that panned out both ways. First, a picture surfaced that many believed was Gabe sailing near the capital of Nuka Hiva. It's still uncertain whether it was actually him in the picture. Next, it was reported that Gabe busted his teeth. This was true, but had no consequence to the show. Lastly, Gabe's mom said that Gabe and Gina ended up becoming friends, which suggested they both stayed in Loser Lodge together.
ROTU ATTENDS TRIBAL COUNCIL
True

Nivek1212 found an editing mistake in the first episode that proved that the ultimate winning tribe, Rotu, would eventually lose and go to tribal council. Rob Mariano went up to vote, with a yellow buff on his wrist. As he goes to vote, the shot changes, and the buff is suddenly blue. When Nivek discovered this, Rob had all ready switched to Rotu. Rotu had won 4 immunity challenges in a row, and this proved that Rotu would eventually lose and attend a tribal council.
SARAH'S ET ONLINE INTERVIEW
True
Sarah let out a little more than she should have when she asked if she had any advice for those left on the island. Sarah stated, "If I was Vecepia, just to fit in. I think she is doing a real good job with that. No drama, just go with the flow, and that seems to work for the winner." And the winner she was.
INTRO ZOOMS IN ON THE V
True

In the introduction title sequence, the word Survivor is written on a shell. The camera then zooms in on the "V", which many people took to mean that Vecepia "Vee" Towery would win. Who knows if it was done intentionally, but it ended up being correct.
A PASSENGER LIST FOR A MARQUESAN VACATION
True

A mysterious poster named Watcher posted a list of clues at the Voted Off board to figure out who would be coming to the Marquesas family reward challenge. She correctly spoiled Sean's friend, Kathy's son, Vecepia's fiance, Neleh's mother, Robert's sister, and Paschal's wife. She also correctly said that Kathy's son would win the challenge.
TAHITI PRESE
False

They tried, but unfortunately, it didn't help us much. The Tahiti Prese was an inaccurate spoiler for the season, with such falsities as "Two of the sixteen Survivor contestants were eliminated during the week of November 24. They left the valleys of Hakaui and Hakatea for another secret site." (the dates are too late, and they were from the same tribe), "the nine Survivors merged into one tribe", "Three of the eight candidates refused to eat [fafuru] and were penalized for it", and "Fourteen of the sixteen candidates voted off the Survivor TV show had to choose, Wednesday, December 19th, 2001, between the two final candidates of the game, a man and a woman" (entirely false). Oh well, Burnett did a good job with security.
CRUISE SHIP SPOILER
False

Survivor Reports reported that 2 former members of Cruise West knew the 7th and 8th casualties of Survivor: Marquesas. The spoiler was full of fake information like ship room numbers that posters overanalyzed. Basically, it said that John Carroll got 7th place and Tammy Leitner got 8th, and they both stayed on this cruise ship when they were voted off. Common sense said that the 7th (last person to miss the jury) and 8th booted (first jury member) Survivors would not be in the same place, and that common sense was correct in debunking this one.
TAMMY WINS IMMUNITY
True

During a preview for episode 9, where many people though Tammy might be the one to go, a shot was hidden with Tammy walking while wearing the immunity necklace. Posters figured out that the direction she was walking was definitely away from the challenge, so she would win immunity again to save herself the following week.
KATHY'S WEBSITE
False

Kathy posted on her website that she had survived 39 days on the island. It was then removed. She didn't survive 39 days, but 38 is pretty close, and she gave away that she'd be in the game for a long time at least.
ROSIE "SLIPS"
False

Rosie O'Donnell, who was tapped to host the reunion show, announced on her show that she had seen the finale and that she knew who won. She had said earlier in the show that she thought Kathy won, in a small voice, like she was revealing something. Most people guessed that this was fake, and it was.
THE NELEH BACKWARDS STUFF
False

"Helen Sinned", cried many posters, including NelehWillWin, when they thought they'd figured out the winner of Survivor: Marquesas using a very Tapewatcher-like method. Neleh Dennis' name was actually derived by spelling Helen backwards, and people thought that the editing was playing with that theme. Many shots throughout the season were reversed, such as a shot of the Rotu flag backwards, a shot of Neleh's face, and shots during Kathy and Rob's pre-merge dinner. Neleh even appeared under the backwards flag. Many posters assumed that this pointed to Neleh winning, but it didn't happen. She did finish in an impressive second place, though.
JOHN IS IN EVERY EPISODE
True

As reported by SSJunkie at Voted Off, she found out she had a common friend with John Carrol. That friend told her that John is in every episode. As the first juror, he was indeed in every episode.
VIEW FROM HERE
Both true and False

A poster at Sucks named ViewFromHere posted that Rob was good until the final 4 and Vee was safe until the final 2. She was wrong about Rob but was right with Vee.
ART BELL SPOILER
Unsure
Someone posted that they overheard Art Bell saying that the Survivor 4 finale was scheduled up against the Cosby Show anniversary was because that the 2 African American contestants would get far. It was probably a lucky guess, we'll never know.
KATHY WINS FINAL 5 IMMUNITY
True

(Written by Trixiego) The CBS website showed in Episode 11 in S4 the walk to TC where it was caught that Kathy did not have her backpack on (she is the last person in line) and she always had a back pack on going to TC (as most of em would if they could get booted) so we knew she won immunity.
SURVIVOR: THAILAND
CAREY SCHUELER IS ON THE SHOW
False

Snewser spoiled Carey as the first Thailand contestant. But then he spoiled that she was indeed not a contestant. What happened? Maybe Carey was the rumored disqualified contestant who was too wild during the orientation process and got herself kicked out.
JOHN TALKS ABOUT EXPERIENCE EARLY
True

Pastor John spoke to his congregation about his experience on Survivor before the first episode even aired. Many people speculated that he would be voted off early because he talked so soon. They were right; Pastor John was the first person voted off the island.
TANYA'S DAD PASSES AWAY
True

It became common knowledge that Tanya Vance's dad passed away just as Survivor: Thailand was wrapping up. Tanya left to go home early, which made it obvious that she was not on the jury or in the final 2. An article stated, "Kingsport's Tanya Vance's father was killed in a car crash Monday. The producers of "Survivor" were notified earlier this week, and Tanya was flown home immediately. CBS representatives say family members were flown to meet Tanya at a connecting location." There are things more important than a game, and Tanya probably made her dad proud with her ethical gameplay.
GDIVA POSTS
Mostly True

Ghandia posted on the Sucks board under the name GDiva before her season even started airing, but was then shooed away by CBS. Before she left, she posted this nugget, "As far as the "stars" of this show, well, duh ME! Other stars I would say: Robb, Jed, Brian, Ken, Erin, Tanya (definitely) and Shii Ann." It was a Diane's list of sorts, but it didn't include Stephanie in the early boots and it included Brian who went on to win. She also mentioned knowing that Shii Ann and Rob smoked, and since they couldn't smoke during the game, she obviously smoked with them in Loser Lodge. Lastly, she said "I can't really say who I hated most in words, but let's just say that he is follicle-ly challenged the 2nd most hated knows all about preparing food. How's that?" This spoiled that she hated Ted the most and that she hated Clay the second most.
BRIAN'S WEIGHT LOSS
True

Quartzeye took pictures of Brian Heidik at his car dealership on August 31, 2002 after he returned from Thailand. His face looked really thin and he looked like he had definitely lasted a long time on the island. The pictures proved right as Brian went on to win the game.
CBS FAILS TO TRICK THE SPOILERS
True

They thought they were so smart. First, when the cast was announced, the players were split by gender in pictures. An assumption was made that the tribes were split by gender. This wasn't true, and online sleuths figured this out easily by analyzing buff colors. CBS also advertised a merge for episode 7, but Antithesys figured out there was no merge by analyzing the challenge captures. Oh CBS, good effort!
TRUEDORKTIMES SPOILS THE FINAL 2
True

About 3 weeks before the final 2, TDT let it be known that Clay and Brian were the final 2. He was correct.
ROBB SPOILS A CHUAY GAHN WINNER
True

Robb mistakenly revealed that the winner would come from Chuay Gahn in an online interview. The interviewer asked him how the winner felt, and Robb answered, "Umm.. I haven't.. I haven't really talked to uh.. I've talked to people from my tribe". The interviewer then figured that the winner had to have come from the other tribe, and Robb then claimed that he had no idea. He didn't cover his ass well enough, though.
PARATROOPER'S SWIRLS
False

Paratrooper had been known for either spoiling well or getting lucky in the past. Unfortunately, he went crazy this time, started charging people to view his website, and made absolutely no sense referring to video captures and telling people to look at the swirls. Your guess is as good as mine what he even meant from them. He did state that "At least 1 (maybe 2) from CHUAY-GAHN will make the final 3" and "And The WINNER will come from SOOK- JAI TRIBE!" When the final 5 ended up all being from Chuay Gahn, his website was all washed up.
FIRE THEORY
False

Antihesys noticed a pattern during tribal councils that proved interesting. After tribe members went up to vote, it would then cut to different types of images. Sometimes it was a flame, sometimes it was a statue, with other things in between. The theory was on a roll for a while, correctly predicting who was leaving on a list that Antithesys had made. The spoiler pointed to either a Brian-Jan final 2 or a Penny-Ted final 2. Neither happened, and the theory was flawed. It was still interesting nevertheless.
SNICKERS SPOILER
Unsure

The winner of a survivor promotion from Snickers was allowed to tour the Survivor 5 camps. This person supposedly posted on Sucks and claims she saw Robb and Stephanie's luxury items at the Sook Jai camp on days 16-18 (episode 6). She very well may have, as Stephanie could have left her fuzzy slippers behind. But really, this had no bearing on anything since Stephanie was voted out on day 15, and Robb on day 18.
BRIAN WINS THE FINAL 4 IMMUNITY
True

As soon as the second to last episode of Survivor: Thailand aired, RobVanStratus was the first to point out that the immunity necklace was shown in the final 4 tribal council that was in the preview. Clay, Helen, and Jay were all easily visible, making Brian the person who would win it next. Many people though that it might be a shot from the previous tribal council where Brian won immunity, but clothes were analyzed to prove that this wasn't the case.
SURVIVOR: AMAZON
WEIGHT LOSS SPOILERS
True

The weight loss spoilers this season were particularly correct.
Rob- Soon after he returned from the Amazon, he had a Christmas picture taken in a santa hat for his website where he looked much skinnier in the face, which suggested a very long stay on the island.
Matt- MissingAmber said that "Matt came back and was very tan and lost a lot of weight and came right up front with people and told them he couldn't say anything because he signed a $5 million contract and to not even ask. The husband (of my manager) thinks he makes it a long way."
Deena- A poster said "she was gone from work for like 7 weeks & came back all tanned & 30 lbs lighter."
Butch- PooPooMint posted that Butch was a contestant long before the cast announcement, and correctly spoiled that he lost 31 pounds in the Amazon.
ALEX BELL LOSES EARLY
False
A poster named BostonGuy said that Alex would leave 5th or 6th from the game. Many people believed it, but Alex stayed on to make the jury and BostonGuy was banned from Sucks.
DEENA IS TAKEN OUT BY A BUG
True
A spoiler went around that Deena would be taken out of the game by a "bug". Speculation was that she was sick, but it really referred to the bug that Matt ate (and Deena didn't) to win his immunity and seal Deena's fate.
MILKSHAKY SAYS HEIDI GETS 6TH PLACE
False

Milkshaky correctly spoiled Missouri contestant Heidi Strobel. He said that she lost 23 pounds and some hair. He also said that she didn't quite make it to the final 4, but had her leaving in 6th place. Snewser echoed this by saying that Milkshaky was right during the final 6 week. Everyone was shocked when Christy left that week.
CHILL ONE
Partially True

This info was all over the place. He had the first boots right... kind of. He said the first two off were male, which was wrong, but he said that they were Ryan and Daniel (who ended up being boots 1 and 3). He also said that Joanna and a woman in her 30's were the first two female casualties (he got Joanna right). He correctly predicted a deaf contestant (Christy), that Jenna and a guy with his hair parted on the side (Matt) were the final 2 and that Jenna was liked better. But he also said Butch got 3rd place (he got 4th) and that Christy got 4th (she got 6th).
DANIEL LUE BATTLES MALARIA
True, But Inconsequential

Daniel Lue ended up getting malaria from his time in the outback. It was interesting to know, but it didn't help us figure out how long he'd last in the game.
SHAWNA'S INFO GOES UP EARLY
True

We all know how incredibly reliable and accurate CBS webmasters usually are, so it was no shock that they didn't always do things correctly. This time though, Shawna's boot info went up a few hours before the episode aired because the announcement was set to be made that day that the US was going to war and CBS wasn't sure if the episode would air.
MTV SPECIAL
True

Pictures taken from the MTV special just before Survivor: Amazon showed two tribes of 7 walking toward the camera. Both Ryan and Janet were missing from the pictures, so the spoilers figured out that they were the first 2 voted out of their tribes.
SURVIVOR INTELLIGENCE AGENCY
False

Like many other groups, the SIA came out with a pick a few weeks before the finale that congratulated Matthew Von Ertfelda on winning Survivor 6. It was a shock to many people when Jenna beat him 6-1 in the finals.
BETTING SPOILER
True

BoDog.com stopped taking bets on Survivor: Amazon when they discovered that CBS employees were betting on the show and winning... not just this season, but also for Marquesas and Thailand. The press release from Bodog said "the CBS employees had skewed the odds" and named Jenna Morasca and Matthew VonErtfelda as the two contestants who received bets. Well, what do you ya know...
SURVIVOR: PEARL ISLANDS
FOLLOW THE MONEY
True

Before the season even started, insiders had bet on Survivor's outcome online. Too many large bets came in for Sandra Diaz-Twine, so the betting was shut down. A few months later, it was conclusive. Sandra won Survivor. As a funny addition, Intertops reported in the beginning that two contestants had a lot of betting action, Sandra being one and the other being Osten! Those betters definitely didn't talk to Pelican Pete.
JON IS OUT EARLY
False

Top-rope.com reported, "The new season of Survivor opens today and one of the guys on the show is indy wrestler Jon Dalton. He is one of the most obnoxious of the bunch and is voted off very quickly in the game." Nope...
SURVIVOR NEWS' ACCIDENTAL TOURIST
True

This article predicted many things correctly, including the Outcast twist. It was reported that the final 2 were both women, one older who was brought back after being voted out (Lillian) and one younger with a man's name. Many people assumed this younger woman was Darrah, but it was Sandra, with Sandro being the masculine name that the Pearl Islanders referred to. It also correctly said that the final 3 player was male.
WEZZIE AND QUARTZEYE'S PANAMA VACATION
Both true and false

During their first vacation in Panama, Wezzie and Quartzeye took pictures at a storage area where the Pearl Islands props were stored, including photos of the boats with the plugs, the rusty cannons, the workbenches with tribal colors and names on them, and other props. This initial information gathered by the very reliable Wezzie and Quartzeye confirmed an Outcast twist ("the purple tribe" came back into the game) and said an older woman would be voted back in. Their photos of the exterior and interior of the Loser Lodge cabins and nice kitchen and eating area, spoiled the fact that the ghost tribe did not live in similar conditions as the remaining castaways. They had beds, TVs, movies, showers, and food prepared for them. The inforamtion was unforunately inaccurate when it initially called the final 3 as Trish, Darrah, and Osten, though.
(Thanks so much to Quartzeye and Wezzie for PMing me and helping me word this one better!)
MATCH GAME, SURVIVOR 7 FINAL INTERVIEWS
True

Quartzeye visited the Pearl Islands final interviews in Santa Monica and took photos of Tijuana, Rupert, Sandra, Trish, Nicole and many other finalists at the hotel they were staying at. Just before the cast was released, she posted many of the photos on EZ Spoilers and invited the fans to play a matching game.
ORANGEENA STALKS DARRAH
False

Anyone around for Pearl Islands remembers Orangeena fanatical ravings pimping Darrah as the winner of the show. He basically tracked her and said that because she was hiding out from press and such that it was obvious that she won. This was fueled by Survivor Phoenix's picks that Darrah and Lillian were the final 2. Orangeena inspired a league of Darrah-heads who cheered on the girl that never actually talked on the show.... and eventually came up short in 4th place.
NICOLE AND DARRAH INTRO SHOT
False

It was speculated many places after Darrah was predicted as a winner that the intro gave it all away. A shot of Darrah and Nicole jumping off the boat seemed out of place, so many people thought it was the ultimate loser (first off) and ultimate winner. Really, it was nothing.
FINALE SEATING CHART
False
Before it was a done deal that Sandra would win Survivor: Pearl Islands, Darrah was the popular pick as the winner. A seating chart picture from the finale even had the four finalists in the order "Sandra-Jon-Lill-Darrah" to throw people off even more. It was all just another part of the hoax.
SURVIVOR ALL STARS
SANDRA'S NOT ON ALL STARS
True

A poster who lives near Sandra took pictures of her at home to prove that she was indeed not off filming Survivor All Stars. Of course, posts followed that talked about privacy issues and all of that general stuff.
JENNA'S MOM PASSES AWAY
True

Death in the family plagued another Survivor contestant. It was widely reported that Jenna's mom died while All Stars was filming, and then shortly after it was reported that Jenna attended the funeral. Even to this day, it was a terrible tragedy and it reinforced a realism to spoilers that these people are real too.
TINA'S OUT FIRST
True... I Guess
A poster on Sucks posted that they overheard Tina talking to her husband in her local airport claiming that she was the first one voted out in Survivor All Stars. This ended up being right, but it's unsure whether this actually happened or someone lucked out.
CHILL ONE, PART 2- CHILL ONE'S PIECE OF ASS
Partially True

An Adobe Acrobat file full of ads and self-promotion, the new Chill One was in it for more fame and was not nearly as humble as the first. Pimping his new book, he had some facts right (He had the exact final 7, in order and mentioned that Jenna M quit) and some wrong (Ethan was not the first voted off). If you waded through the countless pages of info, this spoiler did indeed prove worthwhile.
WEZZIE AND QUARTZEYE RETURN
True

On their return trip to the Pearl Islands, these tow lovely ladies spoiled the black helicopter used in the opening scenes, took photos of the tribal council, learned the theme of the tribal council (a mix of past shows) and learned the crew had set up a tribal council, but had to tear it all down again. That tribal council didn't happen because it was the night Jenna quit.
VARNER'S PREDICTIONS
True

Jeff Varner posted some predictions for All Stars on his website before the season aired. Some of the picks seem to have come from insider info, and the most telling was where he said "Amber Brkich will win Survivor All Stars". She did win, and Jeff says that this will just a guess due to knowing how the other Survivors would view her. Even though CBS had previously put him on their shit list, the spoiling community appreciated Jeff's information that helped us spoil the season.
KATHY MAKES THE MERGE
True

Kathy had a picture on the Vermont Teddy Bear website wearing a blue buff, but her tribe (Mogo Mogo) wore green buffs. This was an obvious indication that she made the merge. She also stated that the teddy bear was the keeper of the rice, and at that point, Mogo Mogo had not yet won its rice. The site soon changed the picture to Kathy wearing a (doctored) green Mogo Mogo buff, but the information had all ready been leaked.
PANTAGONIA HORSEBACK RIDING
True

ColleenLover posted on the Survivor Sucks board that a friend of his met Rob C, Rudy, and Tina horseback riding in Pantagonia. None had lost much weight, and it was during the filming of the show, so obviously the three had been voted out of their tribes. Even though this was looked at critically, this spoiler was 100% true.
RUPERT DOESN'T WIN
True

Snewser correctly reported that Rupert boasted that he outlasted Richard Hatch. Rupert also said "Maybe third time's the charm", forecasting that Rupert (thee of little game) lost once again.
SLEEK28'S BOOT LIST
False

One of the many boot lists this season, Sleek28's list became the most infamous after a huge controversy. The moderators at the Sucks message board kept getting rid of his list, claiming it to be erroneous. Having the first 4 boots right, though, people kept chiming in about how the list may in fact be accurate. Sleek ended up being wrong when he claimed Jerri left in episode 5, though. The list ended up being partially accurate, but that can most likely be attributed to the fact that Sleek probably used other spoilers to compile the list.
THE SWITCH IS REVEALED
True

The switch between tribes was revealed when, in the previews, a clip of Shii Ann had her wearing a green buff. Unfortunately, the buff-o-matic color changer missed a spot and you can still see the red in her buff.
SOMEONE QUITS BECAUSE OF RICH
True

Kristin from E! Online posted that "Richard Hatch does something so scandalous and inappropriate (presumably involving his twig-and-berries) it compels one of the other cast members to lash out at producers for not putting a stop to it--and to quit the game!" Turns out she was right, Rich rubs up against Sue and she cries foul... leading to her decision to quit the game.
MONEY MANAGING
Unsure
uberClay posted that Rupert's mother had quit her job so that she could manage Rupert's money. This indicated that Rupert won a large sum of money while away. He didn't win THAT much, but then ended up winning America's Tribal Council, so maybe he knew that was coming?
AMBER WINS THE FINAL 4 IMMUNITY
True
After careful analysis of the Survivor All Stars finale preview, it became obvious that Amber won the final 4 immunity. In this walk to tribal council, people speculated that Amber was wearing the necklace (which she was). But also, no one else had it on, so Amber had to be wearing it by default.
SURVIVOR: VANUATU
SNEWSER'S LETTER
True

Snewser posted a mock letter that said that weight loss information for the people who go far should be downplayed, while weight loss for the early boots should be publicized more. This list ended up having all of the pre-merge boots on it.
SERAPHAEM'S BOOT LIST
False
Up to his old tricks, Sera posted his boot list for the series. He had the first 2 right, but soon after he was completely wrong just about every week. He also had a final 2 of John P and Eliza. Wouldn't that have been interesting? His list was as follows:
EP.1- Brook, EP.2- Jenean Dolly Neely, EP.3- David Brady Finta, EP.4- Twila Tanner, EP.5- Mia Galeotalanza, EP.6- John Kenney, EP.7- Chris Daugherty, EP.8- Julie Berry, EP.9- Lisa Keiffer, EP.10- Ami Cusack, EP.11- Rory Freeman, EP.12- Lea Masters, EP.13- Leann Needles (Slaby), EP.14- Scout ("Cloud") Lee, EP.15- Travis Sampson, FINAL PT.1- James Chad Crittenden, FINAL PT.2- Eliza Orlins & John Palyok
ORGANIZATION SPOILER
False... I think

This thing was posted and to this day, does anyone really understand what the heck it's talking about? It was a bunch of crazy riddles that would supposedly lead to the winner, but it's off the wall ways of figuring out which Survivor each clue referred to made sure that this spoiler was quickly disregarded.
JULIE IS MEDIVACCED OUT
False

I never actually saw this, but rumors circulated throughout the entire series that Julie would be leaving the game due to a serious injury. Some people heard that she would be burned by lava. It never happened though.
SURVIVOR: PALAU
ASHLEE'S BUFF ON EBAY
True

Three days before the second episode of Survivor: Palau aired, izad discovered that "aashby45687" was selling Ashlee Ashby's Ulong buff on eBay. Because it was being sold so early in the show, people began to speculate that Ashlee didn't go very far. That was proved true when she was booted in episode 2. An archive of the auction is available here.
MERSAYDEEZ'S JUST SOME SPOILERS
True
(Posted by Chikochamp) One of the best spoilers (if not THE best) in Survivor history. Mersaydeez spoiled every single pre-jury boot, said Koror would be the tribe to survive much longer than Ulong, knew 5 of the final 6 (all except Jenn), called both couples on the island, knew Jeff would quit because of his injury, and much more. She eventually had a pretty solid boot list that was right every single week.
ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE
True
A picture was posted of Tom, Ian, and Gregg at a St. Patrick's day parade together. We had early confessionals of Gregg wanting to backstab Tom and Ian, but the pictures showed that all 3 were ok with each other after the game ended, meaning that Gregg probably would never backstab them. Jenn and Katie were also at the parade, meaning that there were no hard feelings between any of the Koror 5.
TOM WINS F8 IMMUNITY
True

(Posted by Chikochamp) Sucks poster tutorial noticed during the footage of the F9 walking to tribal council, which showed Tom wearing the Immunity Necklace, that Jenn's clothes were different to the ones she was later seen wearing at the tribal council, and also that everyone but Coby, who was voted off in that tribal council, was present. This proved that it was actually footage of the F8 walking to tribal council, and that Tom would go on to win Immunity for a second time. (Of course, Immunity turned out to be irrelevant at the following tribal council when Janu quit, and Tom was never vulnerable anyway)
CHALLENGE BOARD
Mostly true

(Written by beatles20147) Lisa Joyner and Survivor: Marquesas contestant Hunter Ellis hosted a "Countdown to Survivor: Palau" special that aired in the Los Angeles area on February 17. It included an interview with John Kirhoffer, who gave viewers a sneak peek at the production Challenge Board. While some of the challenges and rewards didn't take place when the board said they would (or at all), the board was mostly accurate in revealing which challenges and rewards would occur and in which episodes.
