Yeah, Ethan is a moron. I'm actually starting to get used to the new Ethan though. He's a better actor anyway. The new Chad looks just as weird as the old one in my opinion.
I'm sooo sick of the Sheridan/Luis/Antonio storyline. The only person that seems to make it interesting is Beth. Have you ever noticed that when it seems like a big revelation is going to be revealed, it always turns out to be either:
A) A dream, and thats generally when they show what you always hoped would happen,
or
B) They'll end the scene with soemone saying "Wait...I know whats going on around here" cue contipated face. They come back from the commercial and the person says the most ridiculous thing for whats happening.
But then again, thats kind of why I like it. The characters have all seem to be written as complete braindead morons with the exception of: Kay, Chad, Gwen, and Tabitha which seem to appear to actually comprehend and understand whats going on around them. The rest are complete morons.
I could deal with Charity being killed off the show as herself, but her playing any of her other characters (Zombie Charity, Evil Charity, Succubus Charity), she's good to stay.

Fille its not the actress who plays Charity who we hate, more or less the role she's given. She is a really talented actress (she's taken on four roles with perfection already), its just that "Normal Charity" is soo annoying and boring.
Ex. Normal Charity "Oh Meeegueeelll! Gosh! I, golly well gee whiz, I love you Meeegueeelll! Gosh! Being good is absolutely fantastic!"
Ex. Any other Charity character "ALL OF YOU MUST DIE!!! etc etc. Prom Boat Disaster) or she's a total mega bitch.
I give props to Lindsey Korman for playing Theresa so well though. I've never seen anyone force themselves to cry on cue so well, but then again, she's always crying.
Kay kicks ass though. THe best was around the time that she froze Charity in the block of ice and created Zombie Charity. Anyway, I'm rambling again.
To the above poster asking about the past 3 months:
NO Sheridan and Luis aren't "actually" together yet. She doesn't have amnesia anymore, but since Brian/Antonio is dying, apparently reavealing the truth about them would kill him or something along the lines of that garbage.
Liz is actually Eve's sister, hellbent on destroying Eve's life and everything to do with it.
Ivy, Rebecca, Gwen...still hate Theresa..
Gwen's preganant with Ethans kid and it looks like he's going to propose to her over Theresa because of that. Ummm...Tabitha has new dolls, Cracked Connie and some guy doll. They were hilarious at Halloween, dressed as Martha Stewart and Nixon.
Umm...Sam and Grace still sleeping apart because of David.
Kay is STILL trying to get Miguel, she slept with him in the form of Charity (yes...its true) and Simone knows about CHad and Whitney together and is working with Kay to destroy them.

Okay, I'll start from the beginning of your questions:

Nope, Luis has not discovered what the Cranes did to his father...ummm...he's forgotten about it for now I guess?

They still keep hinting that Chad is Whitney's half-brother, but erm...they're screwing now, and Simone (her sister) is still obsessed with him, so I hope not. (John, David's son, might be Eve and Julians son)

Apparently, being chief of police gets your kids in boarding school year round, but yeah, he's still at his magic boarding school. I sometimes think that they just go with it and Grace has some sort of MPD on that one. Well, i hope rather.

I was sure Faith would come back, but she hasnt yet. Did you see the catfight between her and Tabitha around that time? Best Chick Fight Scene Ever.

The private detective Ethan hired, I think his name was Frank Lomax or something, ummm...he got a job on another show, so they just wrote him off as being too hot for Whitney or something. The don't go to the Chicken Coop anymore, because I'm pretty sure Theresa burned it down when she was working there. Wait, she wasnt even working there, she just stole the chicken costume.

Pilar has been on lately, just reciting the same lines over and over...my meehah (or however you spell it), how could you let this happen!? You must leave the Cranes...etc etc. Basically, she's freaking out because Theresa refuses to get a divorce from Julian (she did agree last week, but then realized she'd be poor from signing them, so she literally ATE them), then proceeded to beg Ethan on her KNEES to take her back and not marry Gwen. So yeah, Pilar is freaking out as usual. She has some friend doing an expose on Julian on the show now. And she hasnt lit a candle that I've seen in awhile.

The last time The Angel Girl was on was during Timmy's death scenes (they cut out the scenes because he actually did die, complications during surgery, on the same day he died on the show). Father Lonigan is back. He's refusing to marry Sheridan to either of the Lofitzes unless she loves one of them more. (Is anyone else absolutely sick of this story line? I really don't care who she chooses anymore).

Lets see, to update a bit more:
Kay drugged Whitney before her tennis match, helping Simone with Chad or something
Resse and Jessica have something secret going on
Miguel and Charity are going to get married (puking)
Beth and her mother are both still psychotic
Gwens pregnant with Ethan's child
Theresa is getting more and more desperate for Ethan
Liz is torturing Eve about her past
Kay is torturing David about knowing the truth between him and Ivy (breaking up her parents marriage)
Kay basically hates everyone (especially her mother now), is wants to destroy them. Kay kicksass!

Sorry, one thing I should have added there is that was my own thought in regards to John. The more I think about it, the more i discredit it, although this IS Passions. Stranger things have happened. The only reason I speculate that is because Ivy is blackmailing David, and I assume obviously it has something to do with the Cranes. If you read the book (Hidden Passions), they explain that the baby isn't actually dead, the person hired couldnt do it, so instead replaced it with a stillborn (or something, not exactly sure...just know the baby WAS kidnapped). Anyway...to cut the rambling short (which I can't do), I just made the assumption that it was David, and he kept John to raise him himself. I'm guessing that Ivy found out that he was a Crane goon, and is holding it over his head (if she knew everything, a lot of things wouldnt make sense).
The book isnt bad...it delves into their previous storylines a lot more (Julian and Eve partying and snorting coke at 54). Its a lot like what i would assume a harlequin romance novel would be like.
Another speculation of mine is that Sheridan isn't really Aliaster's daughter, ie. her mom slept around...and thats the reason why he doesnt care about her at all.
I think thats it. Again, anything you want to ask, I should probably be able to provide an answer to.
