New episodes every Wednesday at 10E/9C on Food Network. Tonight's premiere features our favorite bald Greek cooking a dinner in a San Francisco catering establishment that must be transported to Alcatraz Island and served in the old prison shower room. He has limited boats which can get him over to the island and time is most definitely of the essence!!! His food should be 10 times better than Irvine's. That guy was a hack.

That's kind of awesome and kind of sad since Irvine despite his fantasy resume is still probably a better chef than the majority of the other food network "personalities."

They let him finish out his contract (which is why he got another season after all that shit came out about him) but he was not re-signed to a new one.

He is a chef and a damned good one! The plus side is that he brought comedy to the show. It wasn't dead serious which is the last thing I want to watch. And another plus side is that he brought heart to the show. I will really miss him and hope that Food Network will rethink this and bring him back.

However...in the first ep Michael was at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville making a feast for 300 and Charlie Daniels. They gave him 8 hours and he didn't start really cooking until there were 3 hours left! WTF??? I'll catch the repeats this weekend.
