According to Locke, Aiken and Studdard are game. "Now it's up to our agents and managers to book it," she tells Billboard. Locke says the trek will not be about "us as opening acts for each other. We'll be using the same band and will be on the stage singing duets and trios throughout the concert." The tour, with the working title Reunited: 5 Years Later, is expected to hit the road next spring. Locke's latest single, a cover of Freda Payne's '70s hit "Band of Gold," is currently top 20 on the Adult Contemporary chart. Which prompted Kim to issue this statement today: I just wanted to clarify that recently during an interview regarding my "Christmas" album with Billboard, I was asked about any fellow Idols that I may speak with. I mentioned that I had spoken with only Clay and Ruben because I do try my best to keep in touch with them. I went on to say in that interview that I had spoken with them about a reunion concert tour idea and that Ruben and Clay were game for it because they told me they were. In fact, in my last conversation with Clay he suggested that my manager and agents contact his. They did. And they have spoken. And in telling Billboard we were "in talks" and "Now it's up to our agents and managers to book it," I was being truthful in the information that I had received. I told Billboard I was "hopeful" that the tour would come together. (That didn't get printed.) In no way did I imply that we were all committed to this tour idea. So contrary to Clay feeling "unfortunate," that the story "found it's way to the press unauthorized," it was not "unauthorized." It was put out there by me, who conceived the touring idea and called my friends for their involvement. If Clay had chosen to return my phone calls over the last two months, he would perhaps not feel as "unfortunate," and he would have been made aware that I mentioned it to Billboard. I want to thank the fans of Clay and Ruben and my own who were positive and supportive of this idea, which again, was just an idea. It will now be put to rest.

He didn't attack her, he just debunked the rumor. This is what he said: There is NO truth to the Reunited touring idea! It was an idea that was floated by Kim a number of months ago. At NO point did I, nor anyone in my camp, say we would do such a tour.. I allowed the idea some time to ruminate, but never committed to it. I will not. I think it is unfortunate that such a story, complete with so MANY details, found it's way to the press unauthorized. It is another example of media outlets who do not check their facts. But, we seem to be getting used to that, right? If you would have told me 5 years ago, I'd be singing in front of an orchestra, sharing the stage with Melissa Etheridge, Smokey Robinson and Johnny Mathis, I would have thought you were crazy! In the meantime, I wanted to thank you for your support with Band of Gold! It was in the top 20 on Billboard AC within 3 weeks - now #17. Funny, it doesn't look like she's the loser here or that her career needs rescuing from one guy who hasn't toured in almost three years or another guy who tours non stop either doing covers of other people's hits or doing showtunes. Nice spin the mates are putting on it.

I cant find the words to describe it, but I went to see The Color Purple on Saturday with Quiana and another friend of ours. It was the third time I have seen it, so I wasn't really expecting much different... but, LET ME TELL YOU!!... In the past four years or so I have seen too many Broadway shows to count. But NONE of them have affected me the way Fantasia did in The Color Purple. And now, she has given a performance SOOO worthy of credit and praise as "Celie" in The Color Purple. I had seen the show twice before with two of the previous "Celie" performers. Yet, Fantasia's take on the character is fresher and FAR more believable than anyone I have seen. And. that goes for The Color Purple and every other show I have seen on stage. She performs the role so well and so convincingly that she even seems to make the other performers play their roles better than I have seen before. It really was like watching the show for the very first time. And, I don't hand out compliments very easily. Even if you have not been a fan of Fantasia or her other efforts before, there is NO WAY to not love her in this. I have NO DOUBT that this performance for her will garner her an AMAZING amount of respect and credibility! If you haven't had a chance to see the show, or haven't had a chance to see Fantasia in it, don't walk, RUN to New York to see it! Fantasia finishes her run in January, and when she leaves, I honestly don't believe the show will ever be the same. I'm telling you.. Don't miss this!!! Clay's the only one who can make honest observations about others' I guess. I guess.

Her song "Band of Gold" is on the AC charts and headed to the top 10 (that article says it, but her blog in her own words doesn't). It would be her 6th. Sadly, her CD tanked but her songs still get pretty good airplay on AC stations and 5 years after her appearance on AI. Who the hell wants to see a reunion tour of a reality tv show from 5 years ago? Wasn't there an article last year (?) that had the tour numbers for the idols? I remember it cos I was surprised that it had Clay as the top grossing idol ahead of Kelly. From the way the kelbots talked then, you'd have thought Kelly was the queen of the whole fucking universe, not just all things idol . IIRC, Clay's numbers were like a hundred times of Ruben's, and Kim was nowhere on the list. Hell, I wouldn't return her calls too if I were him . Um, Kim, when someone didn't return your calls for 2 months, get a clue, hon. She looked good in her undie, though. When did she lose so much weight? Maybe Kelly should talk to her .
