S12 - Survivor:Panama - Exile Island |

We've heard from a handful of sources that the next location is Panama. The latest report said, "They are leaving for Panama Oct 21,2005 for the filming of new Survivor; same place as All Stars, because of the cheap labor there.
Yep, it is Panama! |

I'm sure they'll use the same beaches over again. They may move TC of Isla Contadora, but I doubt it, the location was very convenient.

I serouisly doubt this is the last one, but that's just me. I also doubt it will be in Panama again, we've heard that rumor countless times since ASS.

How do we know that this is the last Survivor and the host contract has ended? Yes, both of the contracts are done, but that doesn't mean they can't be renewed, which is what happens season after season.

I don't understand how they'll promote this season if they don't have a gimmic. If it isn't an ASS 2, it has to be either a celebrity :( or international edition :/

Series Ending ... like Friends, Everybody Love Raymond something like that.
Sounds like MB has lost interest and JP doesn't want to travel around the whole anymore. It's a CBS cash cow... but so were a lot of other series. |

Congrats CSC!
Anyway, EPMB has been discussing how he wants to let Canadians get a chance to go on Survivor...I sincerely doubt S12 is it. Who cares if Probst is gone? He's not the star of the show. Doesn't really make sense to me why they'd go to Panama again. |

We (here on this forum) have been hearing and talking about Panama since mid July. Several fans, Panamanian and insider sources have confirmed the location. So, unless the whole world is playing a huge mind f'k on us, that's where they're going.
I hope that it won't be the last Survivor, though. If "host contract" means Probst, then hire a new producer/host! (I vote for the guy from Fear Factor!) If 'host contract' means SEG's relationship with CBS, that can be fixed too. But, if it ends, ... oh, well. <shrug> |

You have got to be kidding me. A third season in boring Panama? How are they going to promote this? Pearl Islands II? Unless this is a 'special' season like All-Stars (in which case I won't be watching), or Celebrity, then I can't see how.

Anderson Cooper would be my choice.
I don't want to see a previous contestant host Survivor. I like the idea of the host being someone who has never played the game before. Makes them more objective, I think. |

Here is a useful note I remembered: In his post-Emmy interview, Jeff Probst was talking about Survivor (obviously) and he mentioned how Survivor is only contracted up until #12, and that he hopes they will get the green light from CBS for more seasons.
Sounds to me like Probst is still on the Survivor bandwagon, or at least that they are pushing for more seasons. |

What Dan posted at the start of this thread is something I also received from somebody who I caught lying.
The only other person I've heard say Panama is Ross. So I doubt it's Panama. |

Not to be snarky or anything BUT ... these same "sources" also convinced us that S11 was going to be either in Canada or in Peru (Inca Gold).
We see where S11 is ... and it's not in either of those two locations. As for it being over ... it isn't over until they decide it's over and I, for one, will keep watching until they shut it down for good and WE ALL know that, not just a select few. Your location spoiling intentions may be good but unless you are willing to back up your info with your money or your life, it's just simply another speculation just to get folks all riled up. Call me a dumb hick but I'm not going to believe anything until JP tells us at the end of this season. Until then, I'm gonna enjoy the show spoiler free in its entirety and hope my early favorites do well. |
