She's a great chick lit writer.

ahh
is chick lit like chick films? I'm not really a chick film type - I like mystery and action adventure and sci-fi movies. and, and, and, where's your zombie? I almost didn't recognize you |

Not all chick lit is created equal. Marian Keyes is great, the rest is pretty much crap.
She's from Ireland. Her books are set in Ireland, London, LA and New York. I believe she's a recovering alcoholic and touches on this subject in Rachel's Holiday. I think her website is www.mariankeyes.com The Walsh Family saga starts with Watermelon. There are a few stand alone books like Last Chance Saloon. Only books I've ever read where I will laugh out loud and weep in public. |

I was trying to clarify for CB who wants to categorize.
I want a slurpee too. Margarita flavored. |

I know, I was just teasing you.
When I win the lottery that's the first thing I am buying...a slurpee machine. To put in my mini castle (second thing I am buying). Then you can come over and we will drink margairta slurpees and reread Marian Keyes novels all day. |

I cried on a cruise ship while reading Anybody Out There. Several times. My friends were ready to take the book away from me.

I loved Watermelon. I haven't read the last one or two she had published.
