Could Amanda have played us all? |

Everyone said that there's "no way" Amanda would win after being so sad & such a bitch at the China reunion show.
But we've finally seen how well she can act. Does Amanda win? :-) |

Even if she does win S16 (which she probably won't), why wouldn't she be sad about losing S15?
She lost a million dollars, and even if she thought she had another million dollars coming in a few months, she still would have obviously preferred to win S15 too. Especially if she really thought she had enough jury votes to win (or if she read any of the spoilers). $2 million is better than $1 million. |

She wouldn't have been selected for S16 if she won S15.

She didn't know that at the time, though. S16 was filming before the S15 results were announced. She might have thought she was the only winner brought
back.
And even if she didn't, she doesn't know the results of S16. S15 might have been her best shot at a million dollars. It was a natural reaction to losing. And with Courtney and Candace turning down spots on S16, I think they might have brought back Amanda regardless of whether she won or not. They needed someone to fill that spot.

I respectfully disagree, there's no way in hell the other castaways and Amanda herself weren't notified of her losing China.
If they didn't tell, then all of them would vote out Amanda and the editors would be scramblling to edit it without scenes that include "Amanda may have won China" The whole thing would have been silly. |

Supposedly Amanda and James weren't allowed to tell any of the others how they did in China. Although I'm not sure how they could even enforce that
rule. Would they kick them out for blabbing?

said in an interview that it's not true that she waited till Day 4 to commit to an alliance. I didn't see her in the whole show, but in a post
interview she looked fine. Maybe she was a bit disappointed about losing. I mean she had a real shot at winning twice!

The S16 contestants had a chance to watch the first few episodes of S15, and Eliza and Fairplay have posted at Sucks, so they probably read the "Amanda
Wins" spoilers before heading out to film S16.
Everyone probably knew that Amanda made final 3. |

There is no way that they could have played this game fairly unless they told everyone that Amanda lost China. Besides, James was in the jury house in China
and likely knew that Todd was the runaway favorite.
I DO think that Amanda learned from Todd's jury speech and adjusted her social game accordingly this time. People certainly seem to like her a lot better this season. Of course, she's edgically out before the end, so who cares? |

From what I've been told from some China Survivors on myspace...
Amanda knew she wasn't winning based on the fact that no other winner was on FvF. She was pissed at the fact that Courtney beat her. She expected to come in second to Todd. |

Amanda really has the perfect combination to make it far in a game like Survivor.

Jacare15 wrote: Well from what it sounds like, she is on a lot better terms with people from FVF then China, other then James. It sounds like that her/Todd have some tension so that might have something to do with it. I assume that combined with her/Todd not being on the best of terms, and her/James doing another season back to back she didn't have the typical hanging out after the season is over that a lot of the contestants do. James said in an interview that he wanted Amanda to win, and Alexis really didn't have anything too bad to say about Amanda. So I assume that is part of that. |

sunflower101 wrote: It sounds like Amanda and Todd have mended fences which is a good thing. But I suspect that for the most part Amanda didn't just mesh well with a lot
of her tribe. I mean we got a great understanding of what Denise is like after her lie. And Courtney and even Todd to a lesser extent could be mean.
Although Todd seems to have a very sweet side too. (JR was also vulgar at times) It makes sense that Amanda would end up being friends with Pei Gee, Erik, and
James the more "normal, nicer people" from China. Perhaps she could ahve done more to bond with Leslie and Jaime but she wasn't with them that
long.

Not last time I checked. But, according to (I think) Coby, Yul (the guy who did win CI) was one of the people that was dropped at the last minute. |

Well, I hadn't heard Yul was actually there and dropped. I had heard that Shane/Terry/Savage/Twila were there and dropped though.

I read somewhere that Tom was there but they sent him home.
And yeah I do think Amanda could win this season. |

There is no way that they could have played this game fairly unless they told everyone that Amanda lost China. But nobody on ASS knew how Rupert had done, and there WERE winners on that season. |
