The winner will be a "fan" |

It sure looked that way. The favorites were all over the top, over the place, then fans were all calm and collected (minus Kathy). + The confessional about how
they'll be underestimated as underdogs and Jonathan's confessional that they won because of their enthusiasm for the game.

If the winner is a fan, it's Alexis or Jason, but Alexis had very little airtime and wasn't really introduced as a character and Jason didn't
really have any stand out moment either.

Don't forget Tracy. She was one of the most visible fans.

They only talked about her fake boobs though.

Yeah, but her fake boobs were really visible and colorful, thus likable.
I'd support your fannage, just because it wouldn't be a good storyline if a fan didn't win. No stand out winners yet, but Jason definitely has a good MOR calm winner setting. I guess we'll see next episode. |

She had at least three confessionals. Maybe 4 (it's hard watchdogging when you have annoying family members that talk during freaking EVERYTHING)

Tracy is the only one of the fans that stood out as a winner. I think she will be a unique winner too, she isn't like any of the others. Tracy FTW.

Alexis' confessionals about how the fans know the favorites' strenghts and weaknesses really stood out to me.

Michael had some good "sizing people up" confessionals.

They might won because nobody is interested to them.

Remember back in Survivor: Amazon when the entire first episode was all about the boys beating the girls? It basically made the entire mood of that episode. Well, the girls end up winning the first challenge and a girl wins over all. Cut to
Survivor Vanuatu when, while the animosity is still there, the entire episode didn't revolve around the boys
losing to the girls. And, as it happened, a guy won.
Did the premiere focus on the rivalry to the point that it was the mood of the episode? Or...was it a big theme that came second to more important things, (mainly the favorite's egos)? I don't know the answer to that, but I have a feeling that you could get which tribe the winner comes from, from it. |

Though recent seasons have given us standout premiere episodes for the winner, it doesn't mean that'll be the case this time around. Obviously
discount the people that had 0 confessionals last night, but the other 8 fans definitely remain at large. Probably no need for major character development
since this first episode was about them getting to "experience" Survivor, and they also won the challenge too and therefore didn't need to
scheme.
CBS should've given us 90 or 120 minutes for this one. Last night was too short especially if it was gonna give us a Johnny Fairplay meltdown. |

CBS should've given us 90 or 120 minutes for this one. Last night was too short especially if it was gonna give us a Johnny Fairplay meltdown.I'm pretty sure we got the 60 min premiere simply because "Celebrity Apprentice" was on NBC at 9. I seem to recall back during Apprentice 1 and Burnett said that it was in his contract that the two shows could never compete against each other. |

Tracy is the only one of the fans that stood out as a winner. It did seem odd that she got "FAIRPLAY HATE" comments (twice!) when I'm sure they could have played up other people's dislike of him too. She hated him and it is the start of edited Tracy-ownage. She was my pick at the end of the episode, but Leslie was my winner pick at the end of China's premiere, so it might be the exact opposite. |

Jonathan and eliza got the arrogent sounding comments before the IC lost (we're the Red Sox, our casmp is so good). Not Parvati and her foursome. Ozzy got
the optimistc comment about the loss humbling and strengthening them.
If the Fans have the Faves number because they've seen they play, this might not apply to Faves who change up their game. Only Parvati was presented as resolved to play differently and more aggressively. I say Tracy from the fans and Parvati from the faves got the best winner's edit. |

I'm just not seeing this "Parvati winner's edit" thing. Agreed we were definitely shown a VERY complex side to her in Episode 1, but that
could simply mean she plays a very bold game this time around and becomes a prominent character in the story, perhaps even turning a little villainous.
Wouldn't be surprised to watch her get A LOT of power only to simply get shafted and dethroned (maybe by a "fan"?)...
think: Jerri (Season 2), Ami (Season 9), Deena (Season 6) |

I can def see a dethrowning of the couples alliance, I get a more smug attitude mainly from Parvati's commentary on them
Jonathan and Eliza's smugness comes from being overconfident against the Fans In the end, the fans will win, due to being underdogs, being underestimated and since the previous players were so cocky... |

Kathy talked about Tracy's fake boobs in the premiere...
Vecepia talked about Sarah's fake boobs in the Marquesas premiere. By this pattern, it must mean Kathy wins Survivor: Micronesia! |

A fan may not necessarily win the season, but it seems very likely that the Airai tribe is going to dominate in challenges for quite a while, and probably make up most of the end game composition. Everything in this episode served to remind us that the Fans have something to prove, and the Favorites are getting beat at their own game. |

It's a lot of the way Amazon started. The men were cocky, and they got owned in the end.

I have a hunch somehow that the Favorites are gonna stick around for a while, with the showmance alliance having number advantage. Just before the game shakes
up around F16 or F14 and tribes switch, they get picked out one by one (e.g. Ozzy, Amanda). Fans are definitely going to sneak in some cracked favorite
alliance and finally make their way to the final.
This is my pure speculation. Not a spoiler. |
