I have 5 pics to put up [1 10x12, 4 8x10s] on the wall behind my couch ... what arrangement should i use! either one below (or something else?)

The 2nd one. Pictures are supposed to hang at eye level when you are standing up. It's EASY to hang too high over the couch, so be careful. BTW, the first
one sucked.
Oh, it's also tacky to have candle wicks that haven't been lit in your home. |

Don't hang 8x10s. They are too small. And NEVER hang pictures of family in the public spaces of your house. Take your cheap ass to kinkos and get the cityscapes blown up to an appropriate size. THEN blow one up to a larger size and hang it next to the grouping of 4 cityscapes. Like so:

All of those are way too small to go above the couch because you wouldn't be standing close enough to them well if you are standing in front of the couch
(and why would you stand there?). You need about a 2' x 2' minimum size for anything above a couch.
These piddly little things should go in a hallway maybe, or a place on a wall where there isn't deep furniture below them on the wall (above a very narrow piece might be fine). The four should be grouped together, but the slightly larger thing shouldn't be part of the grouping. |
