Poor Melinda. Can't gawk at traffic accidents when she passes by (rubbernecking), can't get it on with her boyfriend in the back seat of a car (necking), can't dare to do something (stick her neck out), can't be at a pace with someone else in the competition (neck and neck), but can be head and shoulders above the other contestants (doesn't require a neck).
