Really disappointed to hear about this. This show was one of those great discoveries that I found on DVD then looked forward to when I finally got the chance to see it on TV. Of course it would be cut short by the writer's strike and everything would be left completely unresolved. No chance of it migrating to a different network or being wrapped up with a 2-hour mini-movie?

Apparently they don't. Looks like FX felt they were overextended on good shows (since when has that been a problem?!) and chose to focus on the other ones.

After two seasons, the jig is up.
An FX spokesperson confirms that The Riches will not be returning for a third season.

The Eddie Izzard-Minnie Driver con artist drama had been in limbo since the conclusion of the second season last April. Word of the show's axing started to leak out last week when co-star Todd Stashwick...

My husband says he just read on another board that The Riches is cancelled. Can anyone here confirm that?

If so... that SUCKS! I thought the season finale was sort of a letdown and I'm dying to know how this all turns out. I'll be very sad if it's over.

I'm very confused. Did the ex-con guy ('Quinn'?) say that he was Wayne's "old man" as in FATHER? There doesn't seem to be NEARLY enough of an age gap between the two actors -- in point of fact, they are less than 6 months apart in age. Did this strike anybody else as weird that we're meant to believe that they are from separate generations?

What a tangled web they wove. That Quinn guy gives me the heeby jeebies. Cael is so stupid. DiDi is such a little slut. It just seems like they're all adrift, nobody's ever home. Dahlia's parole officer is weird, too. The old lady wanting a hit off the blunt was cool.

Honestly, tho...there was a house in my neighborhood; and granted these were E.European Gypsies and not Irish Travelers...you'd be surprised at how long they stuck around, once people were "on to them"...and, what bad liars they actually were!?!!

Anyway, I'm just bummed that there are only a couple eps. left this season...

I know it's a TV show and not really based in reality, but I'm starting to have some problems with the show. I mean, if they really are Travelers, wouldn't they cut and run once things got messy in the suburbs? I know there's the millions they think they're going to get from this deal with Hugh, but c'mon! It's crazy to keep trying to make this con work when everyone is closing in on them. And Wayne should be a better liar than he is on the show, shouldn't...

What sucks is due to the strike, all the current storylines won't end by season's end. They will continue into season 3 and probably wrap up at the end of that season. Grrrr.

This starts tonight, I believe. After being bombarded for months with promos, I'm excited for this show - it's getting pretty good reviews in the mags, too. I've read it really picks up after 2 or 3 epis, after a bit of a slow start.
