Arden haters I'm sure weren't too happy with tonight's episode, she got a lot of airtime and Nicole, Erica and Lauren combined got 3 roles in 2 sketches total. Aside from that and the awful "Phoning It In" sketch which was phoned in big time, not a bad episode though. At the very least Arden got one of her very, very few recurring characters to come back.

Somehow I always thought that Madtv would have a more glorious end, but it was always obvious ever since last season. I mean, the cast, the writing, the audience, everything appeared to be so uninspired. I hope that, if Madtv does get picked up, it starts fresh and better and not as a continuation of the current show we're watching.

Well, at the very least one can be happy that Nicole had plenty of airtime tonight, after last episode where it was like she was already gone from the show. The guy who did Clay Aiken on MadTV was Ron Pedersen. I thought that he was hot as hell, and I found it funny that he more often than not played a gay or gay-adjacent or a sexually-ambiguous character. Yeah, the quality of this show has gone down in recent seasons, but I'm still going to miss MadTV. I feel that the cast was just as good as, if not better than, their ego-stroking brethren on the East Coast. SNL, I have found in recent years, has some of the most entitled and snobby cast...

So so true!!! I miss Stephnie so much. Although I also did love Paul Vogt and that other guy whose name I can't recall...he played Clay Aiken. He was good.

i havent watched more than the first 10-15 minutes of an episode of MadTV since stephanie weir left.
i kept wanting to like someone as much as her, but it just wasnt funny to me anymore, so i wont miss it.

i havent watched any of an episode of SNL in over 10 years, ok with me if they cancel it too

They should've cancelled it last season when they completely overhauled the show with disastrous results.

I can't see SNL picking up Stephenie or Mo for the simple fact that they've each been gone from MadTV at least 3 years, if they were gonna get picked up, you'd think it would be by now. I'd love to see SNL pick up Crista & KMK, it would give me a reason to actually watch that show (which I haven't watched regularly in 12-13 years at least). I leave Nicole out for the simple fact that she's already got other obligations now ;)

I am watching some reruns on Comedy Central today. I totally forgot about Stephenie Wehr and Mo Collins.

Mad TV has had some great female cast members. Maybe SNL needs to see what Mo and Stephenie are up to.
