I liked that plot, because at least it acknowledge that Natalie's a charmless shrew. It's when they do things like having her pretend to be Monk's wife, despite their zero chemistry, that she gets really awful.

I'm pretty sure Monk taking the cab was supposed to be out of character. It was showing how he is able to overcome some of his crap. Like hugging Sharona and putting his arms around her. That scene was so sweet. Got me a bit misty eyed.

I loved that she called Natalie on her babying.
I wish she'd be in the rest of the episodes. I think there's only a few left.?

eta: also, there were several things that were VERY out of character. Like Monk hailing (and riding in!) a cab.

I always defended Natalie but, she has been awful this session... the auditioning of her daughter and the voodoo dolls are 2 examples.. the whole show has sucked this season..time for it to be cancelled.

Why isn't Sharona coming back for all the finale episodes? Natalie is such a show-destroying killjoy :/ Sharona was fun enough to overlook some of the shitty mystery elements (like the "poison in the ice-cubes" thing )

I have to catch up on the Little Monk webisodes (i only saw the first one, which was great)

Is anyone still watching this final season?

I really liked Friday's episode. It went kinda backwards, but was really well done.

I missed the previews to see who's guest on this week's epi.

Mr. Eko was great on that episode...

I mean i still pay attention to the cases, but the outer storylines, and the character interactions are just as hilarious and interesting.

Did you type mr. eko's name from memory??

That was a pretty good start to the final season! Many LOL lines. :)

although, I thought the case was pretty much a given. I called it 15 minutes in. I hope the whole season won't be that easy

yep sharona, is making a return appearance this season at some point..

hope everyone's got their schedules clear for tomorrow night...i'm really anxious to see what if anything they reveal about trudy's killer in the premiere...i'm sure thats going to be the crux of the season...

It seems a bit crazy that this doesn't have a thread.....

Anyways, I adore this show. I can actually watch it with my mom, which is rare indeed these days.

So, was anyone else dissappointed with the third season premiere? (Monk goes to NYC). It seemed a bit like their head writer had quit or something. They seemed to be trying too hard. I hope it gets back to it's old self when it returns to San Francisco!
