Of course, Sacred Heart won't go away altogether. Although J.D.'s old stomping ground no longer will serve as the show's base of operations, the students will occasionally rotate through its halls -- and bump into many of its familiar faces.

Thanks for the info! I'm not worried. I have faith that Lawrence will make it work. I am saddened that we will get less of the newbies from last season, however.

Neil Flynn's show, "The Middle" was picked up. So no Jan Itor at Sacred Heart, unless he can do double duty.

I'm surprised the stories are saying Judy Reyes *might* guest star and that so far she "hasn't been approached". That's cold.

It's going to be interesting to see how the interns do on their own.

The finale was great. Honestly though, this show just was never the same probably after season 5. It was way overdue for this show to end. The only reason I continued to watch it was because I had already committed 5 seasons to it.

I wish Kylie would've made an appearance. She was far and away my favorite girlfriend of JD's (except for Elliott, I guess). Most people probably wouldn't remember her, though, her run was so short and she didn't have a particularly memorable storyline like Mandy Moore did.

It looks like "Scrubs" may have more lives than "According To Jim" after all!

The busy James Hibberd over at the Hollywood Reporter relays that a ninth season of the medical sitcom has been ordered, with Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke coming back for six episodes. Co-stars Donald Faison, John C. McGinley and Neil Flynn have also closed deals to return (contingent, one assumes, on their pilots not being picked up in the coming week).

No word yet on how many...

Actually Bill Lawrence said on his scrubs ramblings blog on ABC that he is in for the spinoff, and Zach also said in an interview that he would come back for a couple of episodes.

I LOVED seeing Stephanie D'Abruzzo (from the musical) and Hooch in the hallway lineup. I missed seeing Ben and Dani. And I HOPED to see Mandy Moore. :)

Exactly. As much as I love the other characters I thought it was a perfect send off. Everyone got some nice moments and we ahd the return of almost every majro guest star. What more could you want? Anything else will just be a let down.

I pretty much lost it during the home movie montage but the JD/Carla good-bye "Thank you for teaching me." got me too.

Cheers after Nicholas Colasanto (Coach) and again after Shelley Long.
ER after George Clooney and Anthony Edwards.
Happy Days after Ron Howard.
M*A*S*H after McLean Stevenson.
NYPD Blue after David Caruso.
Hill Street Blues after Michael Conrad.
Roseanne after Lecy Goranson.
Andy Griffith after Don Knotts. And, basically the same show even after Andy left (Mayberry RFD)....
