Singing with Willy Nelson....."Are you highhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh???" I watched it twice because I missed a couple of things and laughed all over again. The Nutmeg song was brilliant. It was so OTT that it was funny. Fucking pulling Elvis Costello out of the bear? WTF?

A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All is a ridiculously hilarious cheesy over-the-top special that had me giggling a LOT. Even the songs, while strange, were really well written, but honestly not all that laugh-out-loud funny, but still interesting and really good. I really liked the Toby Keith song and Willy Nelson's.

I imagine this christmas special's hilarity would be extremely enhanced with alcohol or...

The idiot he had on the other night who wrote a book about the The Internet and How to Stop it is sofull of shit. He was not able to give a good example of his thesis and was wrong about several items. I have never seen an "author" so inept as that ass-hat.

I agree. I like the Colbert Report more in some ways. Stephen is so perfectly in character yet obviously trying so hard not to laugh out loud sometimes it just makes me fall off the couch in hysterics. Love when he does interviews on other shows in character too. He is one brilliant man. I have to disagree with you on the "just another comedian" John is one of the smartest mother fuckers out there on television that actually calls it like it is. I'll take his commentary...

I like Colbert more because hes more subtle with the jabs, and you don't realizeg it. TCR is alot like Month Pthons Flying Circus,mixing absurd but hilarious stuff and mixing it with intelligent commentary.TDS is just another show about a comedian with an opinion

I used to be, but I just can't stay up for it every night. Thankfully Comedy Central now has full episodes online of both this and The John Stewart show so I've been catching up. I adore Stephen and John.

Loved the Tim Russert tribute tonight, where Tim whipped out a Sesame Street Bert toy and demanded, "Why not ColBERT??"

Stephen should have been prepared and whipped out a Fozzie Bear toy. "It's pronounced ColeBEAR!!"
