I still enjoy the show but find it difficult to accept the fact this show is so far off base from where it originally started.

I guess that's just what happens during the course of a tv show's run.

Weeds & Desperate Housewives had phenomenal first seasons...only to become a hot mess after their 3rd seasons.

I had a friend who wrote school mass murder stories years before Columbine. Boys do that. Then they grow up and become good citizens and smack the stupid out of their own sons for doing exactly what they did decades earlier.
