I couldn't agree more about Erin Jackson! She was soooOooOo good! Her delivery and jokes are relatable, I don't know why they didn't pick her. I actually saw her on Comedy Central's "Live from Gotham" ((or something like that..lol)) The other night, and she did some of the same material, but it was just as funny as when I heard her do it on LCS and I laughed just as much!

Someone like her deserves this type of opportunity! She was robbed!

I still want an explanation from the show's judges how the heck Erin Jackson didn't make it. I liked her the 1st time I saw her and I loved her 2 weeks ago and then she wasn't pick and I really just don't even get it. Usually the minorities are picked to fill slots and often suck and here we have a black woman and yet nothing.
She has greatmaterial, great delivery and has actual put together sets rather than rushed acts or in some cases for other awkward pauses.

I finally got a chance to watch the latest episode.. and as usual, my disappointment in the final peeps is massive!

I agree with some of you Esther is super cute and hot lil chick, but her material sucks it. I also get a lil annoyed by her delivery, that cutesy lil girl put-on voice thingy she does, doesn't work for her. She would do better with acting on MADtv or a sketch comedy, sitcom thingy!

but srsly, here is how this is going to play out (assuming that we are beyond the producers fucking with this show anymore, and assuming the audience gets to choose the "i'm funnier than" winner each week as they have in the past...)

the final two are going to be marcus and louis.

louis because he is the only pure comedian in this...

Total agreement that Sean Cullen sucks. My husband has a long time hatred of him. If he could, he'd stick a fork in his eye.
I wanted to like Esther, but I thought her stuff was too predictable.

I just watched the second set of semifinals episode. I can't believe a lot of you liked Esther. I thought she sucked the first I saw her and she didn't change my opinion tonight. I thought she was absolutely horrible. Didn't laugh once. But I had already prepared myself for her getting through. She's cute and sort of got that naughty school girl thing going on so i knew she'd make it.

I was just sort of surprised and pissed that the canadian guy and Papa CJ...

Well, you just described most of the comics on this show. There's very little originality. Most jokes have been heard before; just some are delivered in different ways. Look at all the fat comics, black comics, gay comics, etc.

Esther Ku says racist things in a sweet voice. That's it. That's her entire act.

These are some of her actual punchlines:

"You couldn't tell we were sleeping."

Some comics making clever, and funny, observations about race. Others simply repeat stereotypes about their own race.

I couldn't watch Marcus perform because, while it's not all the time, too many impressions. I can't stand them. I don't mind Frank Caliendo, but before I saw his stand up, I saw him on Mad TV. And, he took too long to set the joke up. I agree that it might not be as conducive to this competition, but knowing they only get 3 minutes, I just want to be entertained that whole time.

CJ wasn't funny. It was cringe-worthy, and funny-strange, but NOT funny-ha-ha. If you need to explain the joke to the audience (which he did, and did, and did), it's NOT FUNNY!

OTOH, loved Marcus. This show is not condusive to jokes requiring a longer set-up, which I think is the kind of comic he is. Oddly, he reminds me of Eddie Izzard in his story-telling and more subtle jokes. Glad he made it. He also has the impressions nailed: voice, face, body, all correct. It'll...

I finally got around to watching the two semis episodes, and the first one really pissed me off. Only the guy with the yellow shirt who did the gym jokes and the guy from new york with spikey hair deserved to make it. The other 3 completely sucked. I havn't even laughed at any of Ron G.'s three sets. ^ Well..then it looks like this show is right back on track b/c I changed the channel or the Vegas guy. It wasn't funny, the audience was barely laughing and he sucked. The black guy was funny though so good for him.

Louis is the black guy who talked about his first sexual experience being in his dad's backseat. Sean was the guy who did a lame minute of "What Happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" and then 2 minutes of a song about porn.
