Adam and Eve were told not to indulge upon the forbidden fruit. She listened to the snake and did, and in retaliation they were made lucid of their sexuality. So in a sense, sexuality marked the end of Eden. Even if it wasn't sexuality that spurred the loss of Eden. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough.

Perhaps pregnancy is an act against the island who sees it as a breech of perfection. After all, the revelation of sexuality was what ended Eden to begin with. Maybe in this perfect state that's not allowed.

Um, no. That's not what ended "Eden" or caused Adam and Eve to leave Eden. Just sayin'.

I'm just throwing this out there. I'm sure this isn't right, I'm sure this has probably been thought about before, but it occurred to me ironically during the Survivor finale Sunday and I've been itching to get it out. What if...the island...is Eden? You know, the Garden of Eden. The big 'ole paradise of Christian lore.

I think there's a lot of evidence for this interpretation, as well as explanations for questions we have, if we adopt this idea....

... and another thing, I think it would be great if a new character, who is a recognisable actor from another TV show (past or present), had a name that was either identical to, or at least a reference to, their character's name on said previous show. So for example, Abbadon could have the last name 'Daniels', or somesuch. Although the more obscure the better, for us Lostie puzzle solvers ... You hearing me Darlton?

That time-loop theory is fascinating. I like that the reason for certain main characters dying is not, like so many have speculated, because they 'finally exorcised their personal demons' or have 'accomplished what they were meant to', but because their fundamental change in character (their 'epiphany') would prevent them from doing what they were meant to and therefore must be killed by the smoke monster so that someone else will pick up the slack. lol, that guy has...

This has probably been speculated on before, back in Season 3... but I just watched the good 'ol "Catch 22" episode over the weekend, and while I watched Desmond & the monks bottle the Moriah wine, and then watch Desmond (who we now know time travels) drink 1.5 bottles of it, then learn that only x amount of bottles are made in a year, and then watch Penny load up cases of the stuff into her car for her father, whom we now know cannot be killed by Ben for an unexplained...

I've read the time loop theory before. It seems way too fucking complicated to be true, and a lot of specifics about it have been contradicted already.

I honestly don't think there is one nice, neat theory that perfectly sums up LOST. I think there are about ten trillion little theories that make the overarching story up.

I see where you're going but I think Annie could be too young to be Penny's mom?

Penny would be in her mid-late 30's (?) and Annie would be about Ben's age - mid-late 40's?

That would certainly explain how he can get so many things done, from abducting Locke's pappy to assassinating Rousseau and whatshisname. He's just consciousness time travelling and setting up all sorts of contingencies and plans that come to fruition as just the right time. He's a real super villain.

Why would his daughter be his constant? We have had no indication that she is/has been a part of a different time period. Let's present instead - Richard Alpert. Richard was there when Ben was a boy - that time he was lost in the forest - jump ahead and now he's an Other. Charles Widmore could also be his constant. Charles could've been on the island as a rival for his "Annie's" affections.

Despite all the reports of the decoy plane being put there by Widmore, I say I believe last week's episode when someone told someone that BEN put the decoy plane down there. I believe Ben to be evil to the core.
Now if Ben can travel to and from the past, present, future without harm, does it not stand to reason that if you could find out what his "constant" is ( like Desmond being Jeremy's constant for time travel and Penny being Desmond's) that if you could...
