We flew Allegiant once to NC. Had a great flight, it was on time and a heck of a lot better than the last few Delta flights I've been on.

So far there are maybe about 40 people who look like they'll be on this flight. We still have over an hour before boarding though so I'm sure this isn't it.

Flight day is today. The plane seats over 130 passengers and I'm very anxious to see just how crowded a flight from RFD to AZA in the middle of the day on a Friday will be.

I went 4 hours in advance last year. When you're trying to get from midtown Manhattan to JFK at the beginning of the rush hour, you and your friends want to spend a last hour or so together and will split the cab fare, and you don't want to juggle bags on the subway or worry how long an airport shuttle will take...

I could see that Jit. LAX at Christmastime would be brutal. I hate that airport under the best of circumstances.

That is one of the nice things about living in Tucson. I get to the airport 30 minutes before flights and I've never missed one yet. I have missed one at LAX though.

The 3 hours prior is for International right? I thought it was 2 hours for Domestic. Anyhow it really depends on the airport, flying out of PHL on an early morning flight...sometimes the security lines alone are 2 hours. If its a small airport (like ABE) getting there 1 hour ahead is okay.

I went to the airport last CHristmas about 3 hours earlier than my flight. I got through security with 30 minutes to spare.

Ahem...re-read my lead post Guppie. We're flying into Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (formerly Williams Field Airport), NOT Sky Harbor. Once I get off the plane I should be through the front door of the terminal in less than 5 minutes.

Ahh, sorry. Should be much easier in that case.

CRA- about the TSA recommending you get there 3 hours in advance, this is just a guideline. If you are checking baggage you are fine as long as you are checked in 45 minutes prior to flight time. I imagine Rockford is a much smaller airport and shouldn't have a long security line. I travel alot, and I am never there more than an hour in advance.
