i actually made a kick ass cd for my kid when he was about 2 and he loved (and still does) most of the songs on there...nothing like a wee little kid singing along to the talking heads..oh and they might be giants rocks for kids.

Kimya Dawson (did some songs in Juno) made a whole kids CD that's really good.� I demand that it be cycled in with some Beatles though so I remember there's an adult world out there.

For kids music, try Ralph's World and Dan Zanes.

Ralph Covert of Ralph's World makes great children's music - he's got a "greatest hits" CD out that is wonderful to hear.

Dan Zanes is a Grammy-award winning musician and former alt-rocker (remember the Del Fuegos?). His CDs have great kid's music as well, but also many old standards (like, from the 30s and 40s old).
