The deadline for TAR 16 apps has now been removed - there is currently no deadline.

The application deadline has been due last two weeks ago, auditions for TAR16 are now entry. The production will start by mid-November and ends through December into pre-Holiday season.

A just heard that they are holding open auditions in Dallas on August 1st. I'm not sure which season it's for, but all Amazing Race wannabes in the DFW area, this is your chance!

I hope they accept the applications of real people this time who are unknown and who's living the simple life, similar to TAR 14 (with the exception of Amanda and Kris, Mel and Mike actually auditioned even though they are actor/writers)
and half of TAR 12 (and 13)?

Even the semi-finalists will be by in August through September; anyone who missed the deadline, try for TAR17.

Send it in if they like you it won't matter if you missed the date.
Just send it regular mail so it doesn't cost you that much in case they do just throw it away which I doubt very much they would do.

OK, so...our video is over 4 minutes, even though the rules state that videos must be shorter than 3 minutes. I think our video is pretty funny and dramatic. The other thing is that we missed the July 10 deadline for season 16, so we have to wait and apply for #17.

Don't worry about the how long it is. If they like you they can usually tell within the first 30 seconds.

Apparently the casting people have accepted tapes having rather poor production quality, as long as the personality component shined through. I imagine they get sick of listening to TAR theme and people saying how great they are.

But I think you asked what ideas people had for videos, what they did, and what they said. We can't send our video in yet because it's too long and because we missed the deadline for #16.

My friends Kate and Dustin and I filmed a draft of a potential audition video to go along with our (Dustin's and my) applications, while we were canoeing. They visited me at my house. We think it's pretty good; it's funny and dramatic.

We are having a few issues, though: One is that we missed the deadline for applying for season 16, so we'll have to apply for the following season. The other issue is that videos have to be shorter than 3 minutes. It says so...

They extended the TAR14 deadline like 2 months. There's always the drop-in auditions, too.
