Schwinn Varsity bikes were the Sherman Tanks of bikes. At college, where there something like 10,000 bikes in motion at 9:55 every school day, and a Schwinn Varsity assured you victory if a bike collision occurred. God Bless those beasts. Made in America, too!

I had the Schwinn Fairlady --- mine looked exactly like this one, with that exact seat.
We used to put the playing card with the clothes pin in the spokes to make noise, just to further annoy the neighbors.
I also remember putting spoke covers on too.
Those things could take a beating better than most mountain bikes today.

1. Buitoni toaster pizzas. Round crappy pieces of frozen shit that oozed hot cheese all over your lips when you bit into them.

2. Those little wax bottles with flavored water in them. After you drank them you could supposedly eat the wax (but I never did).

3. My Bionic Woman action doll. She wore this ugly 1970's blue jumpsuit, had a brush, mirror and bionic ears.

If I could have these things again I swear I could turn back time and be young again.
