Clem should've been number 1. Well, not number 1, but higher than he is. I mean, he's a nice, mellow guy who happens to be a gross demon what eats kittens and is friends with Spike. Everything about him screams "what the fuck?" and that's a sign of greatness.

Snyder is awesome. You hate him and appreciate his devotion to the dark side of tutoring at the same time.

And Amy is great for the drama she causes, but as a character, she's kinda meh.

Yeah, the season 7 characters mostly suck ^_^ Some of them could have been decent, but as you said they didn't really get the time to be fleshed out. Also, the writing/editing was kinda weird for large parts of that season as well - it even made me dislike many of my favourites at times :/

Right, I suck at doing rankings. Each time I start writing something about a Buffy character it makes me want to watch the show instead of writing... So in order to actually get this list done, I'll try a format change ^_^ I'll scrap trying to do writeups for the characters I don't care too much about, and instead I'll do a short like/dislike for each character (yeah, I'm lazy).

Great list so far.

I disagree with Kendra being so low - in her case, for me, it's not about the actress's abilities, it's about what the character brought to the show - and she brought a lot to the show.

And Robin Wood is one of the most unneeded characters ever. That guy had zero personality and no interesting dynamics with the rest of the cast whatsoever.

OK, so each time I was gonna do a writeup, I started watching a Buffy episode instead ^_^ So I've just rewatched season 4, and am now halfway into season 5

I can't believe I forgot about Mister Trick! I'll try to work him in after I'm done with the ranking, as well as some others.

I'm a big fan of ranking threads, so for my first one I'll rank my favourite characters from the best show ever!

I tried to stay away from people who were only in one episode, and in the end I ended up with 38 characters. The ranking will be based solely on how much I liked them in the 7 seasons of BtVS (Nothing from Angel, comics/season 8 stuff).
