Yah, sorry, you're right - I really meant that there was more self-driving overall (i.e. fewer episodes without it), so Fran/Barry could recover from how they sucked at virtually every single task. You'll notice that Legs 3 and 6 of TAR7, which had all the self-driving, are the same ones that Meredith/Gretchen seem remotely competent.

the difference is that TAR9 had tons of self-driving, while TAR7 had almost none.

TAR7 had almost none? There really seemed to be a lot of driving in TAR 7 in the Andes and in Botswana. I think that TAR 7 had more self-driving than the 3 most recent seasons combined.

Although Amazon and Thailand are way too low, great list. TAR 5 was an amazing season (although Charla and Mirna are overrated and vile). Both the Bowling Moms and Chip/Kim could be considered my second favorite team ever.

To be fair paying 100 dollars for a cab ride in Tanzania is complete bullshit. I'd be pissed too if some asshole driver overcharged because I was a foreigner and then drove on a bad tire to top it of and made me lose position on the race.

I'd call Brandon/Nicole the best strategists in TAR history, so take umbrage to them being called mediocre. No other team has been able to take advantage of so many other people's good will and make zero enemies. Look at how many alliances they ditch in the first few episodes, yet somehow manage to remain well-liked.
