Should I just stop paying them and let them try to sue me, or should I hire a bankruptcy lawyer and file?

much, but there is always something happening to the car or house, that we have to use the credit card so it is a neverending cycle. At least for right now we

			<description><![CDATA[ to file for chapter 7, you have to meet the means test, which means you have to make under a certain amount for your area. there are some exceptions, if
you&#39;re borderline -- but it gets complicated. for the most part, if you don&#39;t qualify for ch. 7, you&#39;ll be moved to ch. 13 -- in which case
you&#39;re better off working out a payment plan with your creditors, imo.

for a living).

wrt to people saying bk, a lot of other things depend on credit - mortgage rates, employers run credit, even apartment landlords run credit.

One thing you might try is the teaser rate game. Plow all available spare cash into paying off one card, pray you get a low-rate BT offer on the paid off card,... ]]></description>

Another third came from helping out some of those weird friends I&#39;ve posted about.

The rest came from odds and ends, like the occasional 2am burrito craving or the new stove because mine crapped out on me. New fridge too, not long after.

and remove credit comments. You can have excessive interest waived, if you can get on the track to pay down debt. You may have to reduce spending until all
debt is cleared. You may be able to reduce your debt by as much as 50% through tough negotiations. ]]></description>
