Obviously, as soon as the link comes up to download Permanent -- which is both the audio AND the video of the performance tomorrow night -- it'll be posted here. Charity, per David (in an interview yesterday), is Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure (ABCC; "ABC²"), which is one of the 2 charities involved with the Race for Hope David participated in the day after Adam's passing.

So I was checking who's been donating to David's personal and team account (bad that I'm doing this at work). So far, the celebrity donors are:

Archie...contributed $100 to David

Ryan Star (David's opening act) donated...something; name on David's personal honor roll within the $250 contributors

A few days after finding that out, I went back to the above website for the Race for Hope - DC event (where David made the announcement) to see who has donated to the cause of finding a cure for brain tumors. The moderators might lock this or say it belongs in past seasons but I hope that those of us who are Cookie fans can post our condolences here. David Cook announced today that his brother has lost his 10 year battle with brain cancer.

My heart goes out to the Cook family and I am glad that David's brother got to live long enough to see his brother become a star. And David was always a class act who never sought sympathy votes.
