Not really. A lot of people suspected John was dead the whole time since his return and was maybe a manifestation of Smokey. It really ramped up as a theory when Ben confronted Smokey and Locke disappeared right before and appeared right after.

I would have thought so about Juliet but her death = everyone's death so I don't think we can really count that.

So was the Locke reveal the big death of the episode? Or are we to assume Juliet is dead as well since she detonated a fusion bomb next to her head?

No one has mentioned Locke's death. I loved the scene where Ben killed him. It's been two seasons since he first turned up dead. Yet, he seems to still be around. He's like Bernie in Weekend at Bernie's.

Libby really is the death that really should never have happened, but I assume the order to off her came from ABC corporate.

It really sucks that the story had to be changed and things got messed up because the actors/actresses had a couple of problems in real life.

I didn't like Shannon, and don't miss her, but I agree that the way they killed her was one of the worst.

worst-- Daniel. How stupid to have his very own mother shoot him. seriously F***ed up, Darlton. You morons.

Besides Daniel, the two deaths that I still mourn are Libby and Eko.

Libby seemed to have so much more story to tell. Eko was interesting and kinda cool. And gorgeous.

With the plethora of deaths on the show which ones did you hate that they did, which ones did you cheer, which ones didn't really bother you at all or that you thought was a fitting, well-timed ending?
