According to Wikipedia that pilot was for a show called "The Thick of It" which ABC passed on. However, there are still talks going on with HBO about possibly adapting the series (based on a British show of the same name).

What happened with that pilot that Mitch Hurrwitz and Christopher Guest did? I remember ABC picked 'Cavemen' over it. Did it ever leak? That sounds like comedy gold.

The AD creators are also working on a new sitcom for CBS called "Happiness Isn't Everything", which I'm hearing very good things about. Hopefully it will get picked up for the Fall season.

I thought it was hit and miss, but has potential. If they get away from the easy low-brow jokes, there's some cleverness there they can mine.

I didn't hate it as much as everyone else - I saw 'Stressed Eric' and 'Sammy', I know truly awful primetime cartoons when I see them.

It seemed 'Canadian' and I didn't like that... I'm from Canada... love my country, hate our production values... it seemed cheap.

Worst than that, though, is the casting of regular 'known' actors as the character's voices...

'real' animation voice actors bring something to the table that regular actors don't have becasue their voice is all they have to work with.

I love Cheri Oteri, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett...

This show needs to die soon, but it has a good time slot. It will be interesting to see how it does next week now that everyone has seen how sucky it is.

I DVR'd it and have only been able to watch it in pieces. Kind of like not looking directly at the sun during an eclipse. I just couldn't handle a sustained viewing.

Insanely disappointing, considering the ensemble and the premise.

And what's with all the awful puns? The character names, the school mascot--we get it, we get it. Still not funny. The show's based on an Australian series. Are puns the preferred form of humor down under or...

I haven't seen such uniformly abysmal reviews for a single project since Ecks Vs. Sever hit the big screen. I don't think I want to watch my beloved AD crew crash and burn. Hopefully this will die a quick death so they can get to work on the AD movie.
