Main reason for the two hour episodes is NBC otherwise would probably have had to stick a Law & Order franchise rerun in the time slot, and NBC is already having to use those up to cover other time slots that have gone bad (along with Saturday nights). That in turn also has the potential to hurt USA Network, which has new episodes of "L & O" spinoff Criminal Intent followed by new episodes of In Plain...

Sure, why not. Plenty of homeless people will go on regular Apprentice so they can live in a tent and get away from the soup kitchens. And plenty of celebrities with addictions and emotional problems that the Donald can mock and ridicule on national TV. Chris Brown can come on and beat and choke a couple of teammates for example. Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse are probably available. Must be a nasty, little country western star available out there.

I'd love to see them come back with a real season again, one without tents, and without winners that are never PM once the entire season. I've had enough of the celebrities who aren't celebrities calling their nobody friends to buy a $1000 cupcake which is why for the first time ever I quit watching after 1 ep this time.

I'm not surprised, NBC has fuck all else to air right now. Its a good time to do it too, with the omgrecession!1! on everyone's minds. Lots of people laidoff, blah blah, I'm sure they could tie that in to a regular edition of the show.

I still don't get why Martha's version flopped. I loved the cast and the psycho bulldyke daughter Martha had.

Well, as long as they don't do what they did when they had the Martha version, and have them on the air at the same time. That hurt the ratings for her show too much. Having the regular version follow the celebrity one would have the show on the air like Survivor and Amazing Race, and could help maintain the momentum.
