I don't know why people bitch about that leg - the nerds lost because of their shitty driving. Just because there's no bunching doesn't mean it's a crappily planned leg (Ep #6 of TAR3 is well thought out too, it's not the planners fault they didn't account for Aaron/Arianne falling ridiculously far behind).

Considering the fact that Amander/Kris were already in last place when they got U-Turned, I'd hardly say it caused their Philimination. Just delayed the inevitable.

I was expecting it to be a NEL though, just so we could get the near-eliminated team accusing everyone of UTurning them except the team that actually did it.

I say it every year and I will say it now but why not have a NEL in the first 2-3 episodes for a change. I hate when we get down to the final 6 people and we know there is 2 NELs left.

Obviously they wanted the UTurn to be used (anonymity twist), and they wanted it to have a real effect.

Mission accomplished - a strong team was targted and taken out.

They could have also edited out anyone having to repeat it if it didn't affect the placings of the leg. They had the money drama at the end with Mark/Michael having to pay their taxi driver and that left somewhat of a question to who was coming in last.

It is pretty bad planning. At least A/K were probably gone anyway, but they still could've passed the midgets. U-Turn was just stupid there. Hell, it's just stupid overall.
