Ilovegreeneyes has finally asked the key question. And in spite of all of our lambasting of Nigel, it is currently an unanswerable one. I seem to recall them giving Twitch poor comments for some performances. I didn't get the whole "untrained" dancer aspect either except insomuch as neither Twitch nor Joshua to my knowledge ever studied for YEARS like the majority of the dancers on the program. I remember them praising Kerrington and Chelsia both for their hip hop routines, I also recall them praising Courtney, Mark, and many others for working outside their genres. Well for one thing with all this "untrained" bullshit in regards to Twitch and Joshua. They'd go on and on about how they had no training and they were street dancers and how they shouldn't be able to do this. They pretty much ignored the fact that everyone else was forced to dance styles other than their own. They didn't make nearly as big a deal when a ballroom dancer like Chelsie or a contemporary...

I've never watched SYTYCD before and know nothing about dance and even I could tell Mary and Nigel were lying through their teeth half the time. Those fuckers pimped Twitch like it was nobody's business.

Every boot up until the Top 10 was so obvious because you knew exactly who they wanted in the 10 because of their comments and you knew who they'd eliminated. With the exception of Jessicer that was their 10.

I don't know about looking like Chandler but that photo of Nigel is so obviously doctored it's ridiculous. It actually looks like they took a greyscale photo of him and colourized it themselves. All the colours look so unnatural.

Nigel's leaving is wonderful news, IF his replacement is better. As bad as he was, I don't doubt that there are producers who would be even worse. The 7th season was certainly better than the 6th, so I think he IS just tired of doing the show. I'm sure he wasn't fired due to ratings; most shows drop eventually, and Idol's rating haven't slipped enough for a firing. Slezak's article is so on target about what the show needs that I won't repeat anything he said,...
