Yeah CTV owns the rights to Idol franchise in Canada through 2010 so if they don't officially relinquish them to another network no one else can pick it up until 2011. That said I doubt any other network will pick up CI. Unfortunately Theo didn't win the Gemini Award he was up for tonight ("Best Performance or Host in a Variety Program or Series"). It went to Leah Miller, but Theo at least was given a chance to perform on the show.
