I think it was when Robb came to the forum and said that there was a gay guy on Pearl Islands, and everyone just sort of assumed it was Burton...

I mean, if there has to be one gay guy in the PI cast, Burton would be one of the better guesses...

I really want to see a tie outside of the final four but I dont agree with giving the two players who got voted for Immunity and forcing everyone else to draw rocks.

Micronesia has a few fatal flaws compared to PI and Marquesas, namely that the pre-merge was really boring, the editing was blatantly stacked to the favorites, and the idol got rehidden TWICE, which led to Parvati winning easily instead of Natalexis having a shot at taking over, and a fan winner would have helped the fan editing a lot. PI and Marquesas are just much more balanced seasons.

I have to say that in my opinion Micronesia was the best season. It did have great blindsides and a very entertaining cast. Parvati really played that game and deserved the million. Amanda was the only downside to the season because, well, she sucks. But other than that I loved how the entire game played out and how most of the blindsides on the jury were in part to Parv. Oh, and that scene where Jason gives Eliza the fake idol is priceless.

Oh, I agree -I loved the past votes rule. Made it more like a chess game -even if it never came to play (ie. voting Tom or Lex out in final eight and Samburu taking the reins would have been brilliant and justly deserved). But I think it probably lended itself to conservative play and vote outs more consistant than scattered, and hard for regular viewers to follow.

yeah, no kidding. We found this out four years later regarding the immune business- or even if it was figured out by production then. Prior to that, I thought it was a great idea of having the purple rock to show people taking last stances -basically going for broke. I personally think ties are great if tension and something comes out of it.

I meant I was surprised by how they thought the final four was a mistake.

My biggest surprise was when Jeff announced that they made a mistake in the purple rock for final four- that it doesn't work then. To me, it most definitely DOES work then, and is the most crucial time for this move. It's the endgame, only one more round of navigating around these people and the most critical time when one could see a group of two more clearly running things- it creates a fantastic game of chicken and potentially putting new deals on the table for...
