I actually didn't like Micronesia, for the sole fact that the fans were a major letdown to the entire season. The favorites were also kind of on the ehh side, and Parvarti winning was upsetting.

China was a great return to form a while back, but down the stretch it was clear that it was Todd's game to lose. What made China good was the cast though was diverse enough in terms of personalities to be worth a watch.

Gabon is the best season since Panama if you ask me....

Yeah, I guess they were "distinct," but can you really consider people like Aaron, Frosti, Erik, Denise and Amanda interesting? I think you can say that a lot of seasons had "distinct" personalities. It just doesn't necessarily mean interesting. Add to that an extremely boring HII situation that took up a HUGE chunk of airtime pretty much every episode and basically the same three people having absolute power the entire season it was a nightmare....

Good seasons, yeah. But not great. CHINA was good, with a good cast. MICRONESIA was good. But in retrospect, it was cold & the fans were disappointing. GABON was good especially midway. The last episode and the winner was a big letdown though.

I'll agree China had shitty strategy (I mean, it took them four rounds post-merge to blindside James, and they knew the fucker had two HII's). However, I thought every person on the cast had a very distinct personality (well, with the possible exception of Erik, who was a generic white guy), and we don't get to see that too often.

In comparison to Vanuatu, Palau, Guatemala, Cook Islands and Fiji, these past three have been GOOD.

Out of the post-ASS seasons, the last three + Exile are the best.

Thank goodness for my foggy warm memory glasses then! But I get your point. Would Outback be remembered as fondly if it was season 11 and not season 2? I would say yes but I am sure others would disagree. Still it has def been a good three season run we are on here.
