1 September: American TV network CBS has agreed to Cook Islands Television showing the Emmy Award-winning reality series "Survivor Cook Islands", produced in Aitutaki. Pitt Media Group chief executive Jeane Matenga, who has been discussing this with CBS, said, "We will only be required to pay materials costs. A contract is currently being drawn up."

It doesn't really make any sense to show who the face of the person they're voting for unless they're showing the actual vote itself. They have cameras everywhere. It's easy to film ALL the survivors with close-ups, and then edit it before the show airs. No precognition involved.

I like the chance for cross-tribe mixing that the joint challenges offer. That's one way for SEG to weaken the initial tribal bonds. "Several" means that the four tribes should last for a while. Possibly a first merge half- way to the final merge?
