I usually change the channel during these segments because it's just too nauseating. The outback finale should have come with tampons.

Wow, I just watched the Australia one and that thing was long. I forgot how epic and big they used to make the torch walk. Thanks for posting that, I hadn't watched that in a while.

Yeah the Thailand and Marquesas ones have always been my favorites. They really put some effort into those two. And then of course they got lazy and didn't do one at all for Amazon. Way to keep up the momentum, editors.

The Thailand one in particular is awesome.

Marquesas(my second favorite, Nuku Hiva is so gorgeous)
Thailand(my favorite)
China

Ones I didn't like:

Pearl Islands(I don't see the appeal behind burning things. If it is an homage to a viking funeral, then it is somewhat insulting.)
Panama(boring)
Cook Islands(boring cubed)

Gary, Lisi, Michelle, and Boo's from Fiji... Because they were all shown falling on their asses (well, Lisi on her face).

Also, I always thought it was funny that Sonja and Stacey's names were misspelled on their torches in Borneo (luckily it was just "Sonya" and "Stacy"... production didn't pull a "Souna").

Haven't seen a thread on this before, but I could be wrong. Anyway, the rites of passage are always one of my favorite parts of the season, especially the older ones where it was just music and no voice-overs from the castaways. They're just usually so powerful and reflective, it's the one point in the game where everyone gets their recognition and one last blaze of glory, especially true for the people who didn't make the merge and won't be seen at all at the final TC....
