In March 2002 they were filming the Africa finale in Los Angeles on a Sunday, and I said to my wife, "Hey I bet a lot of the Survivor alums are in L.A. this weekend. I bet they all flew in a day early and are all doing tourist stuff. So let's go see if we can find some."

So we headed out to the Santa Monica Pier. I figured, well if anyone comes to L.A., that's as good a place to visit as any.

We sat down on a bench by the carnival rides, and I swear to...

My grandmother died, and like Rudy and Marge, her and my grandfather had been married for a very, very long time. It's been 3 years, and he still cries daily and really misses her. It must be horribly painful to have someone in your life and be your partner, friend and soul mate for so long and the just be gone. My prayers go out to Rudy and his family. I know he must hurt terribly.

How sad. I remember how in the first season Rudy said Marge would go skydiving if he told her it was fun. They seemed to have a great marriage.

Yeah I think most people involved with the show are friends and in love with Rudy...he's such a great guy and been through so much...

Plus Rudy is very friendly with MB and the production staff. Rudy is and was a huge part of the success of the show.

Tanya lost her father while still in Thailand.
Jenna as we all know during ASS
Lillian Morris lost her mom the week the episode of Johnny Fairplays dead grandma lie aired.
Lydia lost her son after the show.
Tina Sheer when she was cast to be on Guatemala.
Christa Hastie lost her dad recently.
Sandra just lost her mom 2 months ago.

I guess it was because Marge actually appeared on the show (and at the reunion)....

I think it's probably because of how big a fan favorite Rudy is/was and how fans are more likely to understand the dedication. Margaretta deserved the same.

RIP to Rudy's wife of 53 years. Rudy saw a video from his wife and grandkids on Survivor: Borneo eight years ago.

Probably because we actually got to see Marge when the cast watched their videos from home. Although she mentioned that she would give the car to him, if she won it, Lydia's son did not...

It was posted somewhere that Marge passed away last week.

Sorry if this has been posted before

The source has no articles but I know they are talkative to the ex Survivors. I promise to get more information as I find it. I know this source would not lie about something like this nor say it without any type of confirmation.
