It's not just CVS - Walgreens has similar deals, so do most grocery stores. Just depends on who is offering what combination each week. You just have to look for Catalina deals combined with coupons. Check out hotcouponworld for stores near you. There's also thegrocerygame although they charge $10 per store per month but I've talked with several people who say it's worth it if you do most of your shopping at one store.

I have never understood that Whole Foods is expensive.. if you buy organic veg and meat its the same prices.. they are slightly higher and you have to be smart.. such as Chantrelles which are 7.00 a pound at the farmers market 17.00 at Whole Foods.. however if you tell them that they meet the price... I would rather eat less, eat better than shove in my gullet shit that contributes to the weight problems, health problems.. you make choices.. like NAA I now buy pretty good wines for 20 bucks...

Despite living in Chicagoland, I live in a good store dead zone - I only get to go to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods when I visit my parents.

Our family uses the same All-HE Free & Clear. We never get the same deals as as out in the midwest (southern CA here). I just checked our ad and saw our Albertsons (Jewel-Osco) has the detergent as 3 for $10, required to spend $29 in a mix and match of stuff, and then get $15 back in coupons. I'm going to check if we have any coupons.

9 for $15 turns out to be cheaper than the big containers we buy at Target, and its even...

Even when the laws allowed us to not have to go to the doctor every time we took antibiotics and the Yeast monster reared its itchy head, the cost of those treatments at the drug store still could make a ding in your pocketbook. Yesterday I went to Dollar Tree to pick up tissue paper and some boxes for packing to move and what did I find???? Generic Monistat 7 day treatment cream with a plunger for $1. A dollar!!
