I am thinking your grandma accidentally knocked the off, by pushing it with her hand to help lift herelf off the toilet and then did not realize you like it a certain way and just put it back instead of leaving the roll on the floor.

I got into a passive aggressive war with one of my first roommates that involved me frequently flipping the toilet paper mid-roll. I put it over, she put it under, the other two roommates never put it on the roll at all. I hated that bitch so fucking much that whenever I saw it under I would immediately flip it over. I don't know if she noticed/cared.

I put it under. Wife puts it over. Neither of us complain about the way the other does it because it's just not that important. She grew up with it over, I grew up with it under. The way each of us does it seems "right."
