I only remember the recession of '91, And I thought to myself that that was really bad.

All I remember is Americans taking sledgehammers to Toyota & Honda cars. George Bush Sr. told everyone that that is the reason they were in a recession.

I remember the late 70's being far worse economically than now inflation was more than twice as high and interest rates were three times what they are now. Unemployment was sky high.

We're at a tipping point and could very easily recover, but if the gubmint decides to increase spending and entitlements we are fucked.

When I was in High School a women postal worker was given a delivery route rather than just a counter job.

for those of you who have lived through the 60's through present as an adult...(adult =18 plus)...what is your opinion of our current state of affairs? vietnam...gas crunch and general shittiness of the 70's, the reagan era....are we living in the shittiest of all of the previously mentioned times? is this as bad as it has been in the past 50 years?
