Oh and one more thing. You can keep your books on your own Hard drive if you want to or Amazon has them for you in your online library. So you can reread them as often as you like. They do have a service to convert other types of files, as well. Mobi and pdf and word documents. My boss did a 36 page guide for a trip he was taking and had it converted so he could put it on the kindle and have it with him at all times!

The books I do buy are ones that I'm sure I'll re-read. I've read some books at least 10x over and I'm still not bored of it.

Though sometimes I just go to Chapters (the Canook version of Barnes and Noble), pick out a book, find one of the chairs they have set up around, sit down, and read the entire thing. Saves a few bucks.

Of course I do, I don't read most of the books I own though. I just keep on a shelf to appear smarter than I am when company is over.

I've been going to the library more because (1) a new one opened up a few blocks away and (2) I'm having trouble with storage -- my shelves are stuffed and I've got boxes and boxes in storage. But newer books are impossible to find in the library (always checked out) and whoever buys books for the library is screwed up. I was looking for books on the history of the Progressive Era, and they had about 2 shelves of books. OTH, there was an entire aisle (had to be 80-100 shelves) on...

I have this thing about reading used books. Even though I do sometimes buy books at Half-Price Books in my town. I dunno, I just like a fresh book. And I like to collect them and just have them in case I do want to re-read them.

I have a lot of books. I buy the one I want and read them when I can and re-read them when the fancy strikes me. Which is why I buy and keep the books I know I like.

Buy them because I do re-read them also; it may be a year but I'll end up reading them
I'm also just too lazy to go the library or bookstore. I do the Doubleday - and now that I've read all the current books out there that I wanted - the library is far behind to me, there is no point going there

I'm not in the library district so I have to buy books all the time. Luckily there is a used book store in town -- they charge 25% of the original hardvcover price and 35% of paperback price. They have alot of very recent books. I also go to the library sales.

Yes. I bought a kindle and love it. Very easy to take your books with you. I still have regular books because the Kindle is new so many books are not on it!

I buy books from Amazon when they are $3 or $4 because they are getting ready to go to paperback. I re-read most of them and I loan them to my mom and sister all the time.

Besides, you couldn't pay me to touch dirty library books that God knows how many people have put their grubby paws on.
