1) this would prevent someone from using their phone even if they were just a passenger

2) even the best GPS devices can be flaky and momentarily lose you, making you zip around the map for a few seconds. Would suck if that happened to you during a call.

Someone should come out with a cell phone that doesn't work when it is moving move than 10 miles an hour. It'd be possible to do, given the GPS capabilities of many phones. The target user would be teenagers and the target buyers would be their parents who worry about them talking and texting while driving. I know I'd buy a phone like that in a second when my kids are old enough to drive.
