Hey, he's gotta go some time. Why not for the benefit of our amusement and/or satisfaction? That's always been my philosophy.

i wonder how pepaw came through the hurricane? i have a friend up near there whose house got crunched right over the peak of the roof by a huge pine tree. that tree fell from the back yard, right straight down the peak of the roof and into the front yard. he's got a fucking structural engineer coming out to see how badly the house was damaged. THAT isn't good.
pepaw always talked about his big trees so i bet at least one of them fell. i'll have to ask him about it in my...

and looks like you got lucky with the tree. from the pix, it looks like you lost A LOT of BIG branches, and they could have done major damage to your house.
