W H Y is the " flashback" scene at the end different from what they show in the beginning???

When afro-scott-franco and lemonparty-milk-penn are in bed and Franco says "youre 40 now, if you keep eating that cake youll be fat by the time your 50", Penn responds "If I make it to 50..." or summat.

Then in the " flashback" scene its like " youll be a fat-ass when youre 50" and penn responds "Ill never make it to 50"...

the times of harvey milk isn't really a movie - its a documentary, and a very good one at that. but in terms of which movie would make me cry or entertain me better, the 2008 one is it.

If Sean Penn doesn't win an Oscar for this, It'll make my Brokeback rage look like mild bemusement. In fact, I think they should give him two Oscars because he's just that fucking good. The movie itself is pretty damn fantastic too. I haven't seen the documentary though, but bandwidth willing, that will be remedied by morning.

Loved this movie. The news clips from around that time totally make me feel like I was watching a documentary. Sean Penn gave an amazing performance. That part at the end with him and James Franco on the phone almost made me cry.

Good flick and prescient to today's civil rights troubles. If there's any justice in this world, pro-Prop 8 people will see it and realize how ludicrously wrong they are. I can't stand Penn but here's his finest hour and the Oscar should be his.

Its a good film but its not in my top five and it shouldn't make my top ten. The film is good, or should I say Sean Penn is really good in the film. The writing, directing, and editing of the film is why I don't consider the film to be the best picture of the year.
