Concurance on your conclusion Bird. But..........."Wouldn't it be cool if this season instead of rock paper sissors, they do sedimentary, igneous, metamorphic? Lets see Metamorphic kills Igneous, Sedimentary covers Metamorphic, and Igneous covers sedimentary. Yeah it sort of works.

A Cirque is a landform found in the mountains as a result of alpine glaciers. I think it's too small to be the cirque at Lekoni, but it could be .

I ran across an interesting name on a map of Gabon - the Grand Bam-Bam. I'm not sure what Bam-Bams are, but I love the name!

Since a WCS bigwig helped SEG choose the filming locations, we can look at places associated with the Wildlife Conservation Society to get hints on where they might go on rewards. Just a thought.

That's really neat topography. If the sea weren't there it would look like the mountain range gets taller and taller as you move west, but really it's just the surround landscape dropping off. Strange considering that's all a single plate and South America once fit right in there.

I was under the impression that they would be living inland but if they wanted to do a water based challenge, they would be close enough to the beach to do that.

The commercials and cast reveal seemed like the bulk of camplife would be inland.

I agree, chad. Most of bio shots were taken at Nyonie camp, probably pre-game . The background is recognizable as Nyonie, where the crew camped.

In the ew video, there are some several shots in the camps taken after the game started. At least one shows water in the background, possibly a lake or 'waterhole'. The camps appear to be in the rainforest. If so, expect lots of bug bites! The Gabon's no-see-ums are nasty buggers.

They could have taken the cast photos near a beach and then went inland for their actual campsites. At least I hope. The commercials make it look inland.

I echo your comments, though. From the cast photos/interviews it looks like they're near water and a more beach-like atmosphere. But from the commercials, they make it look like the jungle.
