However, that would drag out the premerge period of the game ever more. I hate waiting 9+ epsiodes for the merge more than I dislike double boot episodes. Also double boots guarentee a certain parity, forcing both tribes to lose a member.

Also if they wanted more episodes they could just decrease the number of days between TCs. Larger casts with the same 39 days also allows them to deal more easily with retard contestants like Kathy.
