Mayan Sun at SFnet has transcribed Jeff's comments. I think we can come up with some fairly good handicaps from a few days in. What has happened to the media teleconference!?!

Jeff Probst: Ace is an interesting guy. He's going to be a big character whether he lasts 3 days or 39 because he's got a look, he's got the accent and he's got an air about him that could get extremely annoying.

According to Probst, the CNet and Comcast interviews were a couple of days into the game, before the first tribal council. So he has seen a little of their game play, plus whatever he heard from producers at camp.

I think this is going to be a male dominated season like in Fiji, from Jeff's interview's most of the characterization comes the males, you have three arrogant people, Marcus, Ace and Randy the underdogs Ken and Bob and the "lovable" Matty. The only woman who stand out in my mind right now is Corrine-also arrogant Crystal-because of her size.

Jeez, have you even read the interviews? Probst isn't a fan of "arrogant" Marcus for some reason.

I finally got around to watching the little comcast videos with Probst, which seemed to have been made a couple of days into the game (before the first tribal council). He was really talking up Ken's role around camp. I think the only others he mentioned were Randy and Matty, but nothing new. I dunno... Were the Fang on his mind because they were facing tribal council and he was thinking about who they might vote out?

(He also totally dissed the entire country of Gabon as well...

That's possible, but I would like to see what Jeff has to say about them in his media teleconference. I'm not sure if many of these comments from Jeff weren't made pre-game. The TVguide comments were pre-game.

I think Jeff basically pointed out that Gillian would be the first to go based on his take of her, the way he said it just sounded like it actually happened. I like the Red tribe Fang, but i have a feeling that they will be the underdogs that go on a losing streak Like the Ravu tribe. I bet most of the yellow tribe makes it to the merge because Jeff was more descriptive about Marcus, Kelly, Ace, Jackie, and Paloma than overall.

Aren't they an edited version of what was on EW.com last week? There Probst had spoilerish tidbits like "at one point Marcus had 3 people romantically interested in him and not all were females."

I recall it being about 2 weeks before the start. Usually there are several nuggets in both the TVGuide preview and the teleconference. With the NFL starting this week we might even see a new promo or 2.

Dubbed "Orville" in S17+ (Sounds good to me). Whines about being placed in the Jungle. I guess he was expecting something a bit more 5 star.
