I'm a huge advocate of seeking out a naturopath/holistic doctor... your hormones have so much to do with the way your brain functions. But sometimes getting your hormones in balance isn't always the answer.

I was on 40 for a year and have been on 30 for about six weeks. Today I go in to see if I go down to 20 or whatever. Then I leave town for four months so I'm pretty sure I'm not rushing this.

Anti- It took me approximately two months to come off of Celexa. I was on 40mg as well. Make sure to do it slowly otherwise you'll feel like crap. I made the mistake of coming off it too quickly the first time and I was constantly nauseous and dizzy. If you don't mind spending the money, visit a Naturopath. They have excellent supplements and advice that might help without all the side effects.

Been on Celexa for 18 months...I'm starting to come off it, and I go in today to see if I get to drop down another step (I was as high as 40mg). My condition was well-chronicled here...it was basically chronic fatigue syndrome triggered by depression and anxiety.

I'm not sure what it did, if it did anything. I'm definitely not depressed anymore, but I don't know if that can be attributed to the meds, the placebo effect, or the therapy which I started at the same...

I swear to god, everyone I talk to is taking some kind of antidepressant. The current favorite seems to be Lexipro. What the hell is happening? Is everyone in this country one step away from climbing a bell tower?
